Kelly Kalyan is a creative film and video content creator. Her goal is to create meaningful stories that relate to audiences from around the globe.
Kelly's interest in film and video began at the early age of 10 years old when her dad brought home a brand new camcorder. Soon after, she started recording music videos and birthday parties for her friends and family. In high school, she played an active role in the video and audio club, recording and editing news stories on daily events. These would be featured weekly.
In 2012 she earned her Bachelors degree in Political Science from York University and married her long-time boyfriend Sarvan Singh; a film director and editor who completed his diploma at the Toronto Film School. Together they established the production company "Director6" and began producing independent films, music videos, and television shows for the next chapter of their lives.
In 2016 she gained some recognition on social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook by collaborating with Grammy award-winning superstars such as Cardi B and Indian singer-songwriter Babbu Maan. Kelly began working directly with Lee 'Q' O' Denant,' the founder of the immensely popular website "WorldstarHipHop." There she had the opportunity to showcase her extensive knowledge in Political Science to create the viral documentary "Sorrow and Triumph" an introspective look at one of the world's more prestigious museums in Washington D.C. The documentary has accumulated over 1 million views online.
In 2018 Kelly founded Tiger Bunny Motion Pictures; a media company focused on creation, distribution, licensing and marketing of various forms of content on multiple platforms. The first project was the "Clubhouse of Terror" a 35-minute horror anthology about ghosts, ghouls, and monsters which supernaturally enact violence and revenge on troubled characters in the Northern County. The film has finished post-production in March of 2019 and is running in the festival and distribution market.
Kelly continues to strive for excellence and success in the film industry. She is in development for a new documentary, a horror feature and an indie drama and is active in the Toronto film community attending producing classes and acting workshops.
