Pj Perez is a filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist whose debut feature, the 2021 documentary "Parkway of Broken Dreams," won several film festivals' "Best Documentary" awards and was distributed to public television stations in 2022. During his 15-year career as a journalist based in Las Vegas, Perez focused on lifting up unheard voices, including those in the LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and activist communities. He pivoted to filmmaking after unexpectedly winning a pitch contest for his unproduced (and then unwritten) dramedy pilot, "Being." Since then, Perez co-wrote and co-directed the short film "Sugarhook," wrote the acclaimed drama pilot "The Foundation," and produced and directed a pilot for the unscripted series "Notepads & Bar Tabs," among other projects.
