Nancy Jo Sales is the director and producer of the documentary film Swiped: Hooking Up in the Digital Age (2018). A longtime writer for Vanity Fair, Nancy Jo is also the New York Times bestselling author of American Girls: Social Media and the Secret Lives of Teenagers (2016) and The Bling Ring (2013), the basis for the Sofia Coppola film of the same name. She has written investigative features and celebrity profiles for numerous other publications. She lives in New York City and is the mother of Zazie May.
