Meegan May is a queer, neurodiverse writer working across TV, Theatre, and Audio Drama. Formerly military intelligence, Meegan has worked extensively in TV development in Australia for broadcasters including Netflix US, Disney +, Amazon Prime; spending years as a writer's assistant and script co-ordinator.
Her spec TV scripts such as Viewers, The Analyst, and WatchME have won and been shortlisted for numerous awards, and she has been a part of the Australian Writers' Guild's prestigious Pathways Program, Theatre Works She Writes residency program and Co-Curious's Stories from Another Australia initiative.
Meegan regularly collaborates with writer/director Lauren Anderson and together they have written short films, works for the stage, and the 6 x 30min scripted podcast series Starship Q Star. Releasing in December 2022, the queer sci-fi comedy Starship Q Star topped the Apple Podcast Comedy Fiction charts in over forty countries including Australia & New Zealand, Canada, Great Britain, and Ireland.
