The highly-anticipated Tribeca Creators Market is almost here, and IndieWire can reveal the buzzy projects selected for the three-day, invitation-only industry marketplace event. The 2025 Tribeca Festival, presented by Okx, has unveiled the slate of features, series, and audio projects that were chosen to be part of the Creators Market, in partnership with Indeed.

The Tribeca Creators Market will take place from June 9 to 11, and connect rising filmmakers and content creators with industry executives, financiers, and distributors to foster the production of indie projects. This year marks the first-ever open submissions call for the Works in Progress showcase; 12 narrative and documentary filmmakers were selected to preview their feature or episodic projects to financiers, festival programmers, and producers. Past Works in Progress alums include Cristian Carretero and Lorraine Jones Molina, who are debuting their “Esta Isla” during the 2025 Tribeca Festival, and Raul Paz-Pastrana, who helmed Tribeca pick “Backside.”

The first astronaut in the Czech Space Program, Jakub is on a year-long solo mission to study a strange violet phenomenon in deep space, dubbed the Chopra Cloud. “As I enter the Chopra cloud,” he tells the public via video-link from his ship the Jan Hus-1 (named from the 14th century proto-Protestant theologian), “I might just unravel some secrets of the universe.”

Despite Jakub’s grand ambitions, Spaceman director Johan Renck and screenwriter Colby Day, adapting the novel Spaceman of Bohemia by Jaroslav Kalfar, intend instead to explore the mysteries of the human heart. Jakub spends more time thinking about the death of his informant father and his estrangement from his pregnant wife Lenka (Carey Mulligan). Sandler, who has an overall Happy Madison production deal with the streaming platform, leads the upcoming feature from “Chernobyl” director Johan Renck. Based on the novel “Spaceman of Bohemia,” the film follows an astronaut (Sandler) who worries that his tenuous marriage may be on the brink of collapse while he’s in space.

Colby Day adapted the novel for the screen, with Channing Tatum and producing partner Reid Carolin behind the upcoming film, along with fellow producers Peter Kiernan, Michael Parets, Tim Headington, Lia Buman, and Max Silva. Director Renck, Ben Ormand, and Barry Bernardi executive produce.
