Stephen Donnelly(II)
- Actor
- Director
Stephen Donnelly grew up in Selkirk, New York, USA, with a affinity for
photography and writing. Although he still loved the camera, at the age
of 17, he dropped out of school to become a writer. Attempting to
acquire the experience necessary to become a novelist he spent the next
decade traveling the States and abroad while writing short fiction,
essays and screenplays. The desire to film his screenplay, "The Steam
Engine", turned his eye once again to the camera. In order to complete
the project acting became a necessity for Donnelly. With an approach to
acting that is both unpredictable and analytical, Stephen Donnelly
brings an undercurrent of intelligence and intuition to the variety
roles he has played. His uninhibited look and piercing dark eyes
usually has him cast in more sinister roles such as the corrupt Sheriff
Billy Dean in "24K" and the demonic Abdul Alhazred in "Peripheral";
although his comedic turn as stoner Robbie Mocatobi in "A Fish Story"
has garnered many positive reactions.
