It was a tense reunion between Boy Meets World stars Danielle Fishel and Maitland Ward on the latest episode of the Pod Meets World podcast.
Ward was a guest on the podcast hosted by Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Firedle, as the Boy Meets World alum talked about Season 6 of the ABC sitcom. Ward joined the show in 1998 and stayed with the series until its end in 2000.
Midway through the podcast that premiered on February 24, Fishel asked Ward, “Do you hate us?”
“No, I don’t hate you,” Ward said, adding, “I think that you hate me because you wouldn’t speak to me on Girl Meets World and that was hurtful.”
Ward was referring to the Boy Meets World spinoff sequel series, Girl Meets World, which aired on Disney Channel for three seasons. In 2013, Ward shared a photo from the set of the series alongside stars Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter.

Sabrina Carpenter is one of the most popular music artists working today, and her 2024 was nothing short of extraordinary, resulting in a huge net worth. Carpenter released her album Short n' Sweet in August, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 list. Three of the album's singles — "Espresso," Please Please Please," and "Taste" — spent weeks on the Hot 100 charts. Carpenter also embarked on her first arena tour, released an incredible music video "Taste" that paid homage to cult classic Death Becomes Her, received six Grammy nominations, and debuted her Netflix special, A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter.
While many may think she got famous overnight, Carpenter's success is the result of years of hard work. Carpenter began her career in 2011 with a guest appearance on Law and Order: Svu. Her big break came in 2013 when she was cast on the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World, a spin-off of the beloved 90s show Boy Meets World.

Nearly 25 years later, Danielle Fishel is wishing Topanga had said, “I don’t.”
On a recent episode of the Pod Meets World podcast, the actress admitted that she didn’t think Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) and Topanga Lawrence’s (Fishel) wedding on the 1999 Boy Meets World episode ‘It’s About Time’ was “the right choice” for the show.
“I know from my just my memories of it, after we were married, feeling like, well, now we’re married, and they had to come up with new, like, upping the stakes for us,” she said. “And I remember not loving those stakes.”
As the wedding episode happened a quarter of the way through the show’s seventh and final season, Fishel believes the show “could have gotten more mileage out of them being together, but not yet married” while the characters were still in college.

As the end of the line draws ever nearer, things are getting more and more intense for the survivors on Snowpiercer … to the point that Layton (Daveed Diggs) is ready to abandon his new colony to eternal winter to save his daughter. Luckily, we now have a very reformed Ruth (Alison Wright) to stand up to him and for New Eden. In this exclusive sneak peek at Sunday’s (August 4) new episode, Layton rushes the train’s engine room and demands that Alex (Rowan Blanchard) get her into motion to catch up with Snowpiercer, in hopes of rescuing Liana from her kidnappers. As insistent as he is, and as much as Alex looks frightened by his vociferous demands, though, she insists it’s not a practical possibility; it’d take some serious time to get the engine running again after being dormant for so long and serving as the grid’s power source.

Just over 24 years after the show ended, William Daniels shared pictures of a heartwarming reunion with three of his Boy Meets World co-stars. Throughout the show, Daniels' Mr. Feeny was a guiding light for Ben Savage's Cory Matthews, providing him with meaningful life lessons and showing a healthy teacher-student bond over time. Despite ending in 2000, Boy Meets World's legacy has lived on through a sequel spinoff and an engaging podcast, as well as a potential documentary from stars Danielle Fishel and Rider Strong.
It's a Boy Meets World reunion as three cast members pose with Mr. Feeny (William Daniels) in a new photo 24 years after the show ended. Premiering in 1993, the comedy show aired for seven seasons on ABC, and followed Ben Savage as the young Cory Matthews. The series was a hit with viewers as they watched Cory grow up and navigate life alongside his family and friends over the years.

There’s light at the end of the tunnel for Snowpiercer, after all.
The post-apocalyptic drama on wheels was canceled after three seasons by TNT in January 2023, despite previously scoring a renewal for a fourth — and final — season.
At the time of the cancellation, the entirety of the fourth season was in the can, meaning that an ending had been filmed, but producers would need to find a new outlet to air the episodes.
Truthfully, we lost hope the episodes would see the light of day because it was the latest in a long line of financially driven decisions by Warner Bros. Discovery, which had already scrapped the already-completed Batgirl movie, among other things.
As the weeks turned into months, the chance of Snowpiercer securing a home to air its final-ever episodes looked bleak … until AMC stepped up to the plate this week.

Patience is a virtue, especially if you're a sci-fi fan.
When it comes to genre TV, science fiction and sci-fi adjacent programs are often saved when unceremoniously dumped by a network.
Jericho, Lucifer, The Expanse, and Stargate Sg-1 all found new life after cancellation. Today, Snowpiercer joins that list.
AMC Networks announced today that it has acquired the exclusive U.S. linear and streaming rights to all four seasons of the post-apocalyptic drama series Snowpiercer.
The first three seasons of the critically acclaimed drama will stream on AMC+ later this year, leading up to the series’ season four premiere on AMC and AMC+ in early 2025.
This should come as excellent news for TV Fanatics, as the show always drove discussion and fueled passionate viewers with much to say.

Snowpiercer’s final season will see the light of day after all.
AMC has picked up rights to all four seasons of the post-apocalyptic drama — including the completed but never aired fourth season. The series first aired on TNT, but the Warner Bros. Discovery network canceled the show in January 2023 as it and sister channels TBS and TruTV left the scripted business.
The first two seasons of Snowpiercer will begin streaming on AMC+ on June 1, with season three following a week later. The final season will debut July 21 on both AMC and AMC+ — a change from the network’s earlier plans to air the final season in early 2025.
“Snowpiercer is an edge-of-your-seat thrill ride with a loyal fanbase — similar to the passionate fandoms we serve across our biggest franchise series — and a welcome addition to AMC and AMC+,” said Ben Davis, executive vp original programming at AMC Networks and AMC Studios.

The final season of Snowpiercer has finally found a home.
The fourth season of the sci-fi drama will air on AMC after the company acquired the rights to the Tomorrow Studios-produced series. It comes after TNT scrapped the show last year as part of a wider Warner Bros. Discovery content write down strategy.
Deadline revealed in January 2023 that the fourth season wouldn’t air on its original home, as part of a slew of content cuts that also including the axing of Batgirl, Abrams’ HBO drama Demimonde, and TBS series such as The Big D, Chad and Kill The Orange Bear.
It is the latest series that AMC has saved after being scrapped elsewhere; the network bought Captain Nemo series Nautilus after it was cut by Disney+.

Zoe Lister-Jones was proud to attend Sunday’s Spirit Awards, and the reason is twofold. First, the multihyphenate talent turned up in Santa Monica to support a pair of nominations for Roku’s Slip, the original series she created, starred in and executive produced alongside a team that includes Dakota Johnson. Reason No. 2: She did so by walking into the event hand-in-hand with a new love in her life.
When the subject of her plus-one came up during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 41-year-old Lister-Jones responded with a big reveal: “I’m here, I’m queer, I have some fear but I’m working through it.” Lister-Jones is in a new relationship with a fellow filmmaker, Sammi Cohen, who most recently directed Netflix’s You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, the teen comedy starring Adam Sandler and family including wife Jackie and their daughters Sadie and Sunny.

LGBTQ+ coming-of-age movies provide important representation for younger viewers struggling with their identity. These films showcase the growth and discovery that occurs during the teenage years and the challenges of discovering and embracing one's sexuality. Films like "Crush" and "D.E.B.S" offer genuine romance and love stories that are both enjoyable and satisfying to watch.
Coming-of-age movies are a beloved genre, but many films centered on the LGBTQ+ experience of growing up still fly under the radar. This is unfortunate because representation can be an important lifeline for younger viewers struggling with their identity. Outside the positive impact these films have on society, they are also genuinely great movies that showcase the filmmakers' craft.

Danielle Fishel Says She Feared Her ‘Boy Meets World’ Rewatch Podcast Would “Ruin the Show” for Fans
Danielle Fishel is sharing why she was worried about starting her Boy Meets World rewatch podcast with her former co-stars Rider Strong and Will Friedle.
The actress told People magazine in an interview published online Saturday that she feared the Pod Meets World podcast “might ruin” the popular ABC sitcom for fans.

Robert Rodriguez isn’t against bringing original Spy Kids stars Alexa PenaVega and Daryl Sabara back for another film. But the director says the time between the latest installment, Armageddon, and 2011’s Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World, meant that it was “important to just start the franchise fresh.”
The filmmaker spoke about his decision to launch the latest Spy Kids chapter with a completely new family — and new set of leading child stars — in a new interview with Yahoo Entertainment.

For most of Hollywood’s history, the romantic comedy genre has been dominated by straight, heteronormative storytelling that caters to the most simplistic common denominator in society. Rom-coms are often popcorn flicks that create a fantasy between a man and a woman that isn’t hard to understand, yet they rarely make people think about deeper themes or diverse representations.
Enter the LGBTQ+ rom-com. As progressive thinking has become more accepted, filmmakers, studios, and distributors have gotten more comfortable with giving queer people a vision for their own lives with stories that look a little more like their own. LGBTQ+ rom-coms often give non-straight identifying people a chance to feel normal and loved, and at other times they are the same sappy happenstance stories that their straight counterparts are famous for. Either way, LGBTQ+ rom-coms are very much in vogue. Here are the best ones you need to watch right now!

Since 1989, Adam Sandler has been one of the busiest men in Hollywood. Not only is he a prolific funnyman on screen, but he's also got his own production company, Happy Madison, that has cranked out over 25 feature films. Sandler inked a lucrative exclusivity deal with Netflix a few years back and has been churning out films for them to varying degrees of success.
Sure, Sandler has made some sophomoric films, and many include questionable casting choices/characterizations that don't hold up in our contemporary culture (like every role Rob Schneider has ever played), but he's also been unfairly used as a punching bag by snobbish cinephiles despite the overwhelming evidence that he's a comedic genius. When he won Best Male Lead at the Independent Spirit Awards following his egregious Oscars snub for "Uncut Gems," his acceptance speech included the now-viral line, "I'd also like to give a shout-out to my fellow nominees,...

The ’90s were a hell of a time to be a teen watching television. Steve Urkle terrorized the Winslows with his hormones and buffoonery, Zack Morris, an unchecked sociopath, ruled the halls of Bayside High, and the cast of Boy Meets World dabbled in matters of the heart, disturbing societal norms, and the multitude of ways to conduct a proper Feeny call. Unafraid to tackle harsh topics like child abuse, abandonment, and racism, people identified with the Boy Meets World cast, teens and parents included.
Initially airing on ABC from 1993 to 2000, Boy Meets World starred Ben Savage as Cory Matthews, Will Friedle as Eric Matthews, Rider Strong as Shawn Hunter, Danielle Fishel as Topanga Lawrence, William Daniels as the wisened George Feeny, Trina McGee-Davis as Angela Moore, William Russ as Alan Matthews, Betsy Randle as Amy Matthews, with Lily Nicksay and Lindsay Ridgeway as Morgan Matthews.

Rowan Blanchard's departure from "The Goldbergs" as the character Jackie was her own choice, not a result of being fired or recast. The show's creator, Adam F. Goldberg, initially wanted to keep Jackie's character around but had to write her off after Blanchard declined to continue. Since leaving "The Goldbergs," Blanchard has pursued other projects, including leading roles in films like "A Wrinkle in Time" and the TV series "Snowpiercer."
Jackie Geary was recast in The Goldbergs season 6 and there's a reason why the original Jackie left The Goldbergs. Introduced in season 4 of the show as Adam Goldberg (Sean Giambrone)'s new girlfriend, Jackie was portrayed by Rowan Blanchard. The couple shared an affinity for nerdy fandoms, and their chemistry worked well. However, in The Goldbergs season 6, Jackie returns after spending the summer at NYU with a new personality — and a new actress. Alexis G. Zall had taken Blanchard's...

Carmen, Juni, and the rest of the Cortez family are back for another butt-kicking spy adventure. In April, Netflix announced that Robert Rodriguez, the original director of the 2000s action films, signed on to write and direct an upcoming "Spy Kids" reboot movie. Skydance Media optioned the film rights to Netflix with the intention of reimagining the spy thriller for a modern audience, according to Variety.
Officially titled "Spy Kids: Armageddon," the new project will be the fifth installment in the "Spy Kids" franchise, following the original 2001 "Spy Kids" and it's three sequels: "Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams," "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over," and "Spy Kids: All the Time in the World." If you've ever stared off into the distance pondering the complexities of Steve Buscemi's deeply existential quote in "Spy Kids 2," or if you're still waiting on that instant Happy Meal microwave to hit the market,...

“Poker Face” star and executive producer Natasha Lyonne makes an indelible impression as Charlie Cale in Season 1 of Rian Johnson’s “Poker Face,” but she’s far from the only one lending memorable acting chops to the Peacock series.
Throughout the mystery-of-the-week comedy’s initial run, guest stars included (but were not limited to) Adrien Brody, Chloë Sevigny, Clea DuVall, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jameela Jamil, Judith Light, Lil Rel Howery, Nick Nolte, Ron Perlman, Stephanie Hsu and Tim Meadows.
Fitting in this many famous faces with the central one in “Poker Face” required immense coordination by casting directors Mary Vernieu and Bret Howe, as well as the friendships and connections of Lyonne and Johnson. And then it was up to the actors to shine around Lyonne’s human lie detector.
Light led the guest star cast for Episode 5, “Time of the Monkey,” alongside S. Epatha Merkerson. They played Irene Smothers and Joyce Harris,...
