CineMayhem Film Festival Announced: “Created as a way to pay homage to and celebrate the spirit of independent filmmaking and those unafraid to take risks with their storytelling, CineMayhem’s diverse line-up includes advanced screenings of two highly anticipated genre projects including Magnet Releasing’s visceral horror anthology The ABC’s Of Death and Breaking Glass Pictures’ mindbending drama K-11 directed by Jules Stewart (Crank: High Voltage, Mortal Kombat).

Behind the Mask’s Leslie Vernon Action Figure: “This Rhode Island based toy company has their first line of licensed product out that will surely be a surprise to quite a few horror fans out there. Based on the character from the 2006 movie “Behind the Mask, The Rise of Leslie Vernon”. They have just released their 7” action figure and limited edition reproductions of the mask & scythe props from the movie.

It’s one of the best horror movies in the last 10 years and we’re very excited to have this as our first license says president Neal DeConte who started the company...

With a mask somewhat reminiscent of Rorschach from Watchmen or Kroenen from Hellboy, the mysterious Dr Savior has been unveiled in upcoming horror film Donors.

Behind the mask of the "diabolical" doctor (above) is genre actor/producer DJ Perry. Earlier this year, we brought you the first teaser poster and some cast pictures featuring Perry alongside co-stars French/Philippine beauty Anne Gauthier and former Bond girl Lana Wood (famous for her role as Plenty O'Toole in 1971's Diamonds Are Forever starring Sean Connery), who is playing a character called Norma.

Paisaen Productions in association with Collective Development Inc has today announced that the Charles Pisaeno-directed horror thriller has moved into post-production sound and scoring.

The film, also written by Pisaeno, is about a troubled young woman (Niki Saletta, pictured below) abducted by a mysterious man known as Doctor Savior (DJ Perry).

The horror thriller was shot largely at the historic Hotel Del Sol, in Yuma, Arizona, which comes with its own secrets and ghosts and was also used as the location for the 1994 film The Getaway starring Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger.

Directed by Robert Gwinn, Deadly Renovations will get a domestic (Us) release on August 7, 2012, it has been announced. A new motion poster has been unveiled and can be viewed below.

As dark thriller Deadly Renovations gears up for Filmart - the Hong Kong International Film & TV Market from March 19 to 22 - a new international trailer described as "less tease and more content" has been released.

Acort International - which has the trailer on its website - is handling the overseas distribution of the gory whodunnit, with a limited theatrical release planned by Nocturnal Features later this year followed by a domestic (North America) release with Midnight Releasing.

The film is now shooting in Yuma, Az with some B-unit work also being done in Michigan. It was just announced that a true Hollywood legend of the film industry Ms. Lana Wood, sister of the late Natalie Wood, has joined the intense thriller. Lana has an incredible body of work including the James Bond film "Diamonds Are Forever" with Sean Connery. The First teaser poster has been released for upcoming thriller Donors, whose cast includes former Bond girl Lana Wood and Darkest Night star Anne Gauthier.

The poster is included below. Several official pictures of the cast are also featured here. Lana Wood is playing a character called Norma and Anne Gauthier (above) a woman called Sandra.

Wood (pictured below with Donors co-star DJ Perry) is perhaps best known for her role as Bond girl Plenty O'Toole in 1971's Diamonds Are Forever starring Sean Connery.

The sister of the late actress Natalie Wood, she was a regular in soap Peyton Place and in 1979 appeared in Captain America II: Death Too Soon, starring Reb Brown as the star-spangled supersoldier in a second TV pilot for a series that never went into production.

Lana worked with the producers of Donors on their previous film, Deadly Renovations, due out this year with with Midnight Releasing/Acort International.

Actress Nicole Cherie Saletta is now on board to play the lead role of Ashley Honors in the dark thriller Donors, it has been announced.

Filming will start this month in Yuma, Arizona, with the project expected to be ready for a late 2012 release.

Nicole is best known as playing Deena, the on-off girlfriend of Simon Camden for five seasons of the Warner Bros hit TV family drama 7th Heaven, produced by Aaron Spelling. She also starred recently in the action/drama Benjamin with actor and filmmaker DJ Perry, who has signed on to Donors as a producer and to play the antagonist.

Perry said: "The film was going to succeed or fail on the power of the actress cast and that is why we needed Nicole."

The thriller, written and directed by Charles Pisaeno, centres on a troubled young woman who is prone to lying and deceit to survive.

Renovations has been renamed Deadly Renovations and this independent thriller is set to be released in 2012 through Midnight Releasing. This is a film that involves stolen money, murder and psychoanalysis. The work crew is at the center of the mayhem and fans of thrillers can watch this film soon. Renovation Thriller Creeps to First Theaters! The 1st Yuma, Arizona feature film collaboration between Rampart Entertainment, Paisaen Productions and Collective Development Inc. had a “work in progress” theatrical test showing in October 2010. A great crowd gathered to watch this suspenseful thriller with a soliddose of scare and gore. The film follows an Ex-Con played by a new genre favorite Anthony Hornus (“Blood Ties”, upcoming “Locked in a Room”) as he's released from prison and goes in search of stolen money from a bank heist many years earlier. The money seems to be hidden in the now empty Hotel Del Sol recently purchased by a group of renovators led by Allen Liarsby played by another genre favorite DJ Perry (“The 8th Plague”, “Gps”). The film also features screen vets Lana Wood ("Book of Ruth, Journey of Faith"), Johnny Dark ("Resurrection”), Fred Griffith ("Dean Teaster's Ghost Town") and Terence Knox ("Tour of Duty") in roles.

DJ Perry is one busy guy for sure! Not only does the guy act but he takes care of business and produces and writes as well. His IMDb reads like a book. Perry has many recognizable projects under his belt with some cool ones in the works, including an upcoming 3D offering. Virtue Concept PosterThis is an early look at a slate of several film collaborations from Paisaen Productions, Rampant Entertainment, and Collective Development Inc. After the film Renovation premieres October 23rd, Byer's Bog, Benjamin, and Virtue will move in to or complete production.
