The actor, who has garnered fame for playing Cole on MTV’s comedy-drama series, ‘Awkward,’ released the two videos, as he’s creating a platform on social media where he can share his own original and hilarious content. In the actor’s ‘Mother’s Day Video,’ Geer starts off by thanking his mother for raising him. For as long as Awkward‘s Flotsam and Jetsam Theo and Cole have roamed the halls of Palos Hills High, the anything-but-basic duo has managed to stay out of the drama — until now.

Two episodes were provided prior to broadcast.
Five seasons and four years later, and there’s a sort of quiet ease into which the MTV sitcom template-setter that is Awkward presents its fifth year: not with a senior-year bang, but with a whimper as bittersweet and disappointing as the gang’s handful of failed pranks dotted throughout the premiere. Its stars still shine and its drama still crackles with a heightened hilarity that only a show with this high level of acronyms-to-actual words could muster, but its lost some of its acerbic spark that surprised everyone back in 2011.

Recurring gays Theo (Evan Crooks) and Cole (Monty Geer) pop up on MTV’s Awkward. now and then to throw some shade on the overactive personalities at their high school. In the video below, the pair stamp their classmates as either “Basic” or “Awesome” based on their locker contents.
Theo and Cole are those hipster gays that, rather than having story arcs themselves, usually just comment on the world around them without ever being connected to it. In fact, I think they’ve had more screen time in Awkward. web videos like the one above than on the show itself.
Too bad, because these two are worth exploring as characters. Just wish they had more to do than read people from the sidelines.

Palos Hills High's student body just grew by four.
When MTV's dramedy "Awkward" returns for Season 4 -- under new showrunners Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler -- four new recurring characters will cause more trouble for Jenna (Ashley Rickards) during her senior year.

Blonde and beautiful Whitson will play Eva, a Palos Hills High transfer student from Manhattan. Expect her to become the talk of the school pretty quickly.
