Exclusive: Award-winning Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss has announced that his fifth stand-up special, Hubris, is set to premiere exclusively on his website at 10 a.m. Pst this Saturday, December 21.

Lauded by the ancient Greeks, hubris is the devastating, dangerous and of course exciting characteristic which often led to the hero’s downfall. Sloss’ latest is described as a show that doesn’t require a trigger warning — which could be said of all the work for which he’s become known. Check out a trailer for the special above.

Hubris emerged from an idea Sloss had in 2020, to film the entire evolutionary process of generating material for the new show he was creating. Comedian Daniel Sloss, who is set to perform in India, has shared that he is looking forward to getting acquainted with the different cultures of India during his tour.

The comedian will perform in Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Goa, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata from March 15 to March 24.

Elaborating on the same, Daniel said: “I am delighted to be back in India with an expansive tour, covering a vast proportion of this majestic country. DeadAnt Live is at the forefront of promoting comedy in India and collaborating with them is of great significance as it resonates with my mission of promoting comedy across the world. Exclusive: After running his latest acclaimed solo show, Daniel Sloss: Can’t, off-Broadway and touring it worldwide to rave reviews, Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss has set the spring 2024 U.S. theater dates that will bring it to a close.

The final leg of Sloss’s tour will see him visiting 27 cities from April through May. Tickets go on sale through his website on Friday, December 8 at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Marking Sloss’s 13th solo show to date, the darkly comedic Can’t sees the comic discuss (and defy) the notion that stand-ups can’t joke about anything they want, also meditating on parenthood and much more. Conan O’Brien will bring his podcast Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend to this year’s New York Comedy Festival, with a taping of the live episode later airing on Team Coco’s SiriusXM Channel.

O’Brien joins a festival line-up that includes Dave Attell, Bill Burr, Nicole Byer, Jimmy Carr, Margaret Cho, Tim Dillon, Giggly Squad, Ilana Glazer, Brett Goldstein, Nate Jackson, Anthony Jeselnik, Matteo Lane, Sam Morril, Nick Mullen and Adam Friedland, Atsuko Okatsuka, Pod Meets World, Donnell Rawlings, Jeff Ross, Robyn Schall, Daniel Sloss, and Michelle Wolf.

The largest comedy festival in the U.S., the New York Comedy Festival is now in its 19th year and will run from Nov. 3 to Nov. 12. The event, founded by Caroline Hirsch and produced by Carolines, brings together over 200 of the country’s top comedians who perform in more than 100 shows at some of the most prestigious venues in the five boroughs, including the Apollo Theatre, Bam, the Beacon Theatre, Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, The Theater at Msg and Town Hall.

Comedians Ali Wong, Jonathan Van Ness and Anthony Jeselnik have joined the lineup for the Just for Laughs comedy festival’s 41st edition this summer.

The comedy festival in Montreal that revolutionized stand-up comedy by discovering top comics like Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle and Jimmy Fallon has seen its earlier move into programming solo touring shows pay off as veterans of Netflix comedy specials, like Wong, Van Ness and Jeselnik, dominate its first lineup announcement for its upcoming July 14 to 29 run.

Comedy special veteran Wong, whose latest project, Beef, has just bowed on Netflix, will be joined for her one-night stand at Just for Laughs on July 26 by special guest Sheng Wang after his own Netflix comedy special, Sweet & Juicy, premiered on the streaming giant. Wong was part of Just for Laughs’ New Faces discovery series in 2011, and the festival named her breakout comedy star of the year in 2017.

As the rest of the world says goodbye to Halloween, Hulu seems to still be in the thick of the spooky season, adding some thrilling titles to its library in November, like “Freddy Vs. Jason,” “Texas Chainsaw 3D” and “Interview with a Vampire,” whose star-studded cast included Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Kristen Dunst, and Thandie Newton. For a creepy cartoon, Hulu subscribers can view Tim Burton’s “The Corpse Bride.”

Also coming to the streamer are “Creed II” and “Booksmart,” as well as some classic flicks such as the Jennifer Beals-led film “Flashdance” and two films from the Terminator franchise: “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” and “Terminator Salvation.”

Netflix has confirmed that 51 new original series, movies and specials will be debuting on the streaming service in September, including the second season of the Peabody-winning satire “American Vandal” and season 5 of “Bojack Horseman.”

And there will also be new to Netflix seasons of some of your favorites from other networks, including the seventh and final edition of “Once Upon a Time.” Likewise, there will be plenty of movies making their first Netflix appearances including the red-hot Oscar contender “Black Panther.”

Going back to school or work after lounging at the pool all summer isn’t a fun wake-up call, but you can still escape to Wakanda or “Hollywoo” with the Marvel blockbuster “Black Panther” and Season 5 of the animated comedy “BoJack Horseman,” which are coming to Netflix this month.

Plenty of Netflix originals are debuting or returning in September. Acclaimed director Cary Fukunaga’s dark comedy “Maniac,” starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill, arrives Sept. 21. The mockumentary “American Vandal” is back for Season 2 and the docuseries “Chef’s Table” returns for its fifth installment. Classic films are also coming to the streaming platform, including “Groundhog Day,” “The Breakfast Club,” “Scarface,” and animated pics “Lilo & Stitch” and “The Emperor’s New Groove.”

Summer is coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean the binge-watching has to stop.

A number of original series and popular movies are hitting Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime in September. New offerings on Netflix include the mega-hit “Black Panther,” along with the streaming giants’ new show “Maniac” with Emma Stone and Jonah Hill. Meanwhile, Amazon Prime is debuting “Forever,” which stars “Saturday Night Live” alums Fred Armisen and Maya Rudolph. Over on Hulu, Sarah Silverman’s “I Love You, America” will drop its second season.

And if you want to get ahead on a horror movie marathon before Halloween, there are also plenty of scary flicks that will be added throughout the month. “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning” is coming to Netflix, while both Amazon and Hulu will carry “The Amityville Horror” and “Jigsaw.”

School’s back in session, and so are several of your favorite Netflix original series.

“Marvel’s Iron Fist” and “Atypical” return for sophomore seasons on Sept. 7, and the second season of “American Vandal” will hit the streamer a week later on Sept. 14. “Norm MacDonald Has a Show” will drop that day as well, and limited series “Maniac,” starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill will arrive on the 21.

Netflix will also release some new movies, including “Sierra Burgess Is a Loser” on Sept. 7, “Nappily Ever After” on the 21, and “Hold the Dark” on the 28.

Netflix has released their full list of films and Tv shows that will be coming to Netflix in September. Black Panther is among them and will arrive Tuesday, September 4! Now we'll all be able to return to Wakanda as often as our heart desires, or until Disney decides to pull it for its own streaming service in 2019. Either way, I'm excited to see the film again. The live-action Bleach film is also coming to the streaming service!

British Comedy Guide reports the UK version of the Drunk History TV show has been renewed for a third series (or season) on Comedy Central UK (Ccuk), which is already shooting.The news has not yet been confirmed by the network and there is no news on the press site. While most of the cast is still unknown, Daniel Sloss and Joe Lycett have posted on social media that they have been filming season three. Reportedly, Joel Dommett and Tom Allen are also on board. The guy looks like a healthier Macauley Culkin, sounds like Sean Connery, and he’s really funny. I’ll lay odds he’ll have his own sitcom inside of two years. A part of last night’s set dealt with being gay — and whether it was a choice. Definitely worth a look…
