Juliz Ritchie is a British-Turkish filmmaker, multimedia artist and
journalist. Her film credits include the feature-length documentary,
"Mescal", as well as award-winning shorts, "The Riddle", "The Bold and
the Bald", "Bermuda Shorts", "Positive" and "Amnesia", all of which she
wrote, directed and produced. Her multimedia work includes the video
installation, "The Little Match Girl", shown at Riverside Studios as
well as the photo exhibit, "Shading", in London. In Bermuda, she
exhibited her photography works, "I censure therefore I am " and
"Okyanus" at Masterworks Museum. In addition, Juliz is a contributing
film critic for various daily newspapers. Fluent in English, Turkish
and German, she has also lived in Berlin and Bermuda. She holds an M.A.
in Film and Television Studies from University of Westminster, London
and a B.Sc. in Mathematical Engineering from the Istanbul Technical
University and. Her professional memberships include the Bermuda
National Gallery which houses a still of one of Juliz's films in its
permanent collection. Together with her family, Juliz splits her time
between North America and Europe.
