Christos N. Karakasis was born in Athens. He studied Film-Theatre-TV Direction, Computer Science, Music and Humanities. In Greece and to New York University Tisch School of the Arts. He has Postgraduate Diploma in training and development, and Post graduate diploma in film and theatre direction .He has supervised, technically supported and produced various audiovisual events, presentations, adverts, video art projects, festivals. As a Director-Producer he is active since 1992. His films have been screened in Greece and abroad and have been awarded in international film festivals. He is a member of the Greek Directors' Guild and member of the Scriptwriters Guild of Greece .He is the Artistic Director of Athens International Digital Film Festival, and the Artistic Director of the International Panorama of Scientific and Ecological films, .

2020 Direction and Music Award for the film Take a Trip from West Side Mountains Doc Fest
2021 Win the audience award for the movie The Exiled in the West Side Mountains Doc Fest.

The curtain fell on the 5th West Side Mountains Doc Fest with the award for best cinematographic portrait for Giorgos Messalas Journey to the Dream by the director Christos N. Karakasis.
