The live-action, 7-part supernatural TV series "Sanctuary: A Witch's Tale", created by Debbie Horsfield, adapting the novel by V.V. James, directed by Lisa Mulcah and Justin Molotnikov, is now streaming on AMC+ and Sundance Now:

AMC Networks is kicking off 2025 with a January lineup that includes season two of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches and Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale. Planet Earth: Asia, presented by Sir David Attenborough, premieres in late January on BBC America, and horror fans will be treated to Nick Frost’s Get Away debuting on Shudder on January 10th.

Shudder’s January lineup also includes the body horror Grafted and Dark Match, an action horror with Sara Canning and Steven Ogg.

Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches Season...

AMC+ and Sundance Now today announced a second season of the enchanting drama Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale, adapted from the novel by V.V. James. The six-episode second season of the Sundance Now Original series is scheduled to begin filming this month in Ireland and will debut in 2025.

The series premiered earlier this year exclusively on Sundance Now and AMC+ and was Sundance Now’s biggest series debut ever on both platforms. Season one is now available to stream in its entirety on applicable platforms in the U.S. and Canada.

Season two picks up a year after the traumatic events of season one. Sarah Fenn and her daughter Harper are in hiding in Scotland, concealing Harper’s extraordinary powers, but a dark cloud is descending as recent anti-witch legislation has increased hate crimes.

As Sarah worries worse is to come, she’s presented with a dramatic ultimatum – return to Sanctuary...

Taran Butler highlights the unrealistic reload inaccuracy in Shooter, emphasizing the over-the-top action focus. Despite lacking realism, Shooter entertains with its revenge fantasy plot and exaggerated action sequences. Critically unimpressive, the film still pleases audiences with its thrilling story of corruption and retaliation.

Firearms expert Taran Butler mocks a significantly inaccurate detail in the 2007 film Shooter. The film sees retired Marine Scout Sniper Bob Lee Swagger (Mark Wahlberg) fighting to survive and prove his innocence after he is framed for an assassination he did not commit. Shooter opens three years before this event and prior to Swagger's retirement during a mission that goes wrong, featuring a massive explosion and the death of Swagger's close comrade.

AMC+’s February 2024 lineup includes the much-anticipated and long-awaited Rick and Michonne spinoff The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. The zombie apocalyptic drama premieres on AMC and AMC+ on February 25th and picks up the story of the two fan-favorite survivors who found love amid the walking dead.

AMC+’s schedule also includes new episodes of the mystery series Monsieur Spade starring Clive Owen as Detective Sam Spade. Plus, season one of Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale wraps up with new episodes, including the season finale on February 8th. The crime caper Far North starring The Book of Boba Fett‘s Temuera Morrison makes its series debut on February 15th.

Inspired by true events, six-part dark comedy Totally Completely Fine, a Sundance Now Original series, stars Thomasin McKenzie (JoJo Rabbit) and explores the complexities of grief, the power of friendship, and the ways our sadness can unite us. Per the logline, the series follows 20-something Vivian Cunningham (McKenzie), whose life is a mess. Last week she accidentally burnt down her brother’s vegan food truck with a bacon-flavored vape and this week she’s inherited her grandfather’s coastal clifftop shack and is tasked with helping people who come too close to the edge.
