Megan Clancy is originally from Boston, born Deaf in a hearing family. She started doing theatre in high school, and went through Gallaudet University's Young Scholars Program (YSP) to study Theatre under the instruction of Tim McCarty, director of Quest Visual Arts in Washington, D.C. Since 2015, she became very involved with the annual Easter Seals Disability Film Challenge, various 48-hour film competitions, independent films, short films, T.V. shows, and commercials. She was nominated for the Best Actress award at the 2022 Sydney Science Fiction Film Festival in Australia for her work in Tech Support, a short film directed by Carl Hansen. Most recently, she completed a commercial shoot in Boston.
She also creates ASL videos for StartASL to help the community to learn ASL and related topics virtually.
