Partners in life and in writing, Nina Sokoler & Andrew Durtschi define "opposites attract" each bringing a unique, comedic perspective to their work.
Nina grew up in New York and felt most at home at the theater. Andrew grew up in Idaho and felt at home in the woods. Nina studied production design at Emerson. Andrew studied history at Harvard. Nina had a career as a producer and founded a successful events production agency before turning to writing. Andrew worked in production and spent a year in Budapest as Beau Flynn''s assistant on Brett Ratner's last movie. Nina has a pastry degree from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and dual German/American citizenship. Andrew is an American who refuses to follow recipes. Nina, a Second City writing alumna, recently dragged Andrew out of the house and onto the stage to join her sketch comedy groups "Mostly Cousins" and "Lee's Wee Little Lads" formed with fellow Groundlings. Though Andrew is most comfortable fishing and Nina is most comfortable as the lights go down in a Broadway theater, they are both happiest writing together in their office in Los Feliz with Lola, their dog, sleeping nearby.
