The worst thing that could have happened to Mary Queen of Scots was how fresh and unique The Favourite ended up being. This period piece just can’t match up, coming hot on the heels of that one. Regardless of the comparison, it falls short of its intended goals, despite a powerhouse one two punch of Margot Robbie and especially Saorise Ronan.
