Daniel Nunez(I)
- Director
- Actor
- Producer
Daniel was born to and raised in Miami, Florida by Cuban immigrants. Since he was a small child he has had a love for storytelling. His mother, a teacher, instilled in him an appreciation for literature, while his father, a blue-collar worker turned entrepreneur, bonded with him primarily with trips to the movies.
After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve and eventually deployed to Fallujah, Al-Anbar, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 5-7 (with Scout Platoon, TOW/Scout Company, 4TH Tank BN; attached to Bravo Company, 2nd AAV's, 2nd AABN). His platoon's primary mission on this deployment, was conducting mechanized patrols and Main Supply Route Security.
Upon completing his term of service, he began his formal studies at Florida's prestigious Full Sail University. Since then, he has been producing and directing independent films along with his creative and business partner, his twin brother, Lazaro.
With 'The Brothers Nunez', as their pseudonym, Daniel and Lazaro love to take mythological, classical and classic motifs and incorporate them into to modern storytelling. They also love to showcase their home of Miami, utilizing it as a 'character' in itself, in much of their work.
