Sean Crampton can next be seen as "Woodman", a veteran suffering from PTSD who enlists in a covert government program aimed at healing its nation's wounded in extreme ways, in the feature film, "The Stalking Fields" (2023) as well as Steve Pink's "The Wheel" (2021), which just had its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival 2021. In 2022, he shot the pilot for "Helmet" (2023) and produced the feature film, "Good Bad Things" (2023).
Sean was also the title character in the mockumentary comedy feature film "Richard Peter Johnson", a story about the world's most infamous male porn star retiring at the height of his popularity and career to pursue his true passion of acting. Sean penned and produced the film along side other members of his sketch comedy group, Gibbon's Tail. The film co-stars James Franco, Jim Parrack, Thom Barry, Eddie Shin, Devin Crittenden, Anton Narinskiy and Robyn Cohen. The film won 11 awards including Best Actor and Best Picture at the Playhouse West Film Festival 2014. The film will be released on Red Box and Amazon in early 2016.
Sean is a passionate award winning actor, an improviser, director, screenwriter and artist born and raised in California. He won the 2014 Playhouse West Film Festival "Audience Choice - Best Actor" for the feature film "Richard Peter Johnson". Since 2009, Sean has improvised in over 1,000 shows on stages across town (UCB, Second City, iO West and Playhouse West Comedy) and the country, with his improv team Gibbon's Tail. They are the only team to ever be invited back consecutive years to Los Angeles Improv Festival.
Sean has started an online film course for beginning film makers where he takes them from start to finish on their feature films with the Rebel Filmmaking Community (RFC).
In his spare time, Sean likes to discover good music, surf, read historical fiction, and discover hidden gems in Los Angeles. He is an avid CrossFit, ocean, and cinema enthusiast. Sean currently resides in North Hollywood.
