Mikhail is a graduate from the Postgraduate Film School for Scriptwriters and Film
Directors (led by an Oscar-Prize winner Vladimir Menshov, Natalya
Ryasantseva, Vladimir Tumaev). He started his career in
cinema with the short film "Stopover"/"Eine Stunde Aufenthalt" after
Heinrich Böll that won the 1st Jury Prize at the Film Festival "Kitaso"
in Erlangen, Germany and was nominated at the festival "Literature and
Cinema" in Gatchina, Russia. His last work is the short film "The Way
Out"/"Der Auftritt" that tells a story about a Jewish soprano hidden in
the opera theater from the Nazis during World War II. The film has been accepted at the Short Film Corner of the Cannes Festival 2015.
