Born in Paris, France, Nicolas Polixene, is an award-winning film writer-director. His passion for cinema lead him to transition from scientific studies to the film industry. He honed his craft at the École Internationale de Création Audiovisuelle et de Réalisation (EICAR), where he acquired foundational skills in screenwriting, directing, and cinematic language.
Polixene's early work includes the student short film "Dreamed", which earned the Grand Prix Emotion at the inaugural Festival de Fontainebleau. His breakthrough came with the short film "Papé", which won the Prix Océans for Best Short Film Script at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival Director's Fortnight. The film was showcased in over 70 festivals, including the Directors' Fortnight, Aspen, Palm Springs, and Clermont-Ferrand, receiving multiple accolades.

Thanks to its market screenings at the Cannes Short Film Corner and the European Film Market at Berlinale, along with the film's widespread acclaim and numerous accolades, "Cut Me If You Can" has garnered strong industry interest and secured financing for a feature-length adaptation. The filmmakers now aim to shoot the full-length version in the United States.

In parallel, Nicolas Polixene is developing his debut solo feature, "Dissidence", a powerful historical drama set in Martinique during World War II.
