Born in Nigeria and raised as a middle child, Funmi's journey to
becoming an actor started when she used drawing and painting still life
at the age of 3 to express her creativity. By the age of 13 she
was pulled by the idea of inspiring others through the medium of
acting.
In 2003 she set foot in the United States and her dreams of becoming an actress were set in motion. After she completed her 2 year study at the Baron Brown studio where she honed and developed her craft, Funmi is prepared to carve her own artistic path in this industry. She credits this experience to expanding and empowering her confidence as an artist and more importantly as a person. She is passionate by the opportunity to fulfill her own potential and that it may inspire others.
In 2012 Funmi landed her first feature film as the lead in Ruination and has continued to develop her innate talent as an actor.
