Jordan Beckerman began his film career as an entertainment lawyer before ultimately transitioning to producing full time in 2017. Immediately after graduating from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, Jordan began serving as legal counsel to independent film producers and film productions. Jordan first began working with Jordan Yale Levine and Yale Productions in this capacity, until 2017 when Jordan and Jordan produced their first feature film together (After Everything). Jordan Beckerman left his law practice and joined Yale Productions full time, as a partner and producer on all Yale Productions films. Jordan brings his extensive business and legal background and love of independent filmmaking to Yale Productions, and the company has seen tremendous growth since Jordan and Jordan joined forces.
Since transitioning to producing films full time, Jordan has produced and executive produced more than 20 films. Jordan's credits include: William Brent Bell's "Separation," starring Rupert Friend, Brian Cox, and Madeline Brewer, which Open Road released theatrically; Netflix's "Stowaway," starring Anna Kendrick, Toni Collette, and Daniel Dae Kim; "Becky," starring Kevin James and Lulu Wilson, which was selected for the Tribeca Film Festival in 2020; "Chick Fight," starring Malin Akerman, Alec Baldwin, and Bella Thorne; "I Used to Go Here, starring Gillian Jacobs and Jemaine Clement, which was selected for SXSW's 2020 festival, and produced alongside Andy Samberg's Party Over Here production company; Lionsgate's "Crypto," starring Kurt Russell, Alexis Bledel, & Beau Knapp; and " After Everything," with a cast featuring Maika Monroe, Jeremy Allen White, Sasha Lane, Joe Keery, and Marisa Tomei, which premiered at SXSW in 2018. Additional films include "Burn," starring Josh Hutcherson, Suki Waterhouse, Tilda Cobham Hervey, and Harry Shum Jr.; "Already Gone," a co-production with Keanu Reeves, which stars Justine Skye, Seann William Scott, & Shiloh Fernandez, and many more. Jordan's production counsel credits include "Rabbit Hole" starring Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart; The Discoverers, starring Griffin Dunne, Madeleine Martine and Cara Buono, and numerous Yale Productions projects including King Cobra, starring James Franco, Christian Slater, Garrett Clayton and Keegan Allen, Jack Goes Home starring Rory Culkin, Britt Robertson and Lin Shaye, and many more.
Recently produced films by Jordan that are in post-production include "The Untitled Katie Holmes Project," written and directed by Katie Holmes, starring Holmes, Jim Sturgess, Derek Luke, and Melissa Leo; "Panama," starring Cole Hauser and Mel Gibson; "The Survivalist," starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and John Malkovich; and "Rogue Hostage," starring Tyrese Gibson, John Malkovich and Michael Jai White.
