Growing up in South Africa, Tamara has performed in many school and community theater plays before moving to the United States to continue her studies in acting. She has since performed in many theater productions and has also appeared in several short films and features. The short film "Utter", in which she plays one of the leads, was screened at several film festivals in many cities, including New York City and London.
Tamara was a regular guest on "Jackie's Joke Hunt" on Howard 101 on Sirius XM, was one of the founding Festival Directors of the "Northeast Film Festival", as well as the Marketing Director for the "Golden Door International Film Festival".
Having such a huge love for film making, Tamara has also worked as Associate Producer and Location Scout on several projects and has also written, produced and starred in the short film "Wishful Thinking" and produced and directed "Party On The 6 Train", starring Bill Sorvino, Frank Albanese and Stevie Steel.
Tamara studied "Acting Technique" with Edward Morehouse at the famous HB Studio, as well as "Scene Study" and "Audition Technique" with Robert Sapoff and Beth Baur at the NJ School of Dramatic Arts. She also studied "Commercial Audition Technique" and "Film & TV Audition Technique" with Anthony Grasso at Breakthrough Studios, as well as "Voice and Speech" with Mary Workman at The Acting Studio. In South Africa, she studied "Acting for Camera" with Marisa Sarfati at the City Varsity Film, Television & Multimedia School in Cape Town.
Tamara also has a degree in Public Relations Management, worked as a River Guide and High Ropes Challenge Course Instructor in South Africa and has lots of White Water Rafting, rappelling and hiking experience. In school, she was a competitive long distance track runner and also enjoyed tennis and competitive beach volleyball.
Tamara studied music in high school and played the flute in her high school band.
Tamara is fluent in Afrikaans (her home language) and enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her husband and rescue dog.
