If you're an Ella Purnell and Christina Perri fan, then our two worlds have just collided in the Sweetpea finale on Starz! Who would have thought, but it was definitely a nice surprise to hear my favorite artist crooning, you guessed it, "Sweet Pea" as the end credits started rolling.
This is Perri's lullaby cover version for her third daughter, Pixie Rose, which is part of the "Songs for Pixie" album. It's such a sweet gift as the singer has created an album for each of her daughters - her firstborn Carmella, Rosie who unfortunately was stillborn, and her youngest, Pixie. Listen to the full version of the song below!
Those of you who are also avid fellow fans of the "A Thousand Years" singer and songwriter may have immediately recognized the song once it started playing at the end of the last episode of Sweetpea. Though the tune has...

After the excitement that erupted over Team Gwen Stefani’s Beya in the comments that followed Monday’s recap of The Voice (you can read it here), I was thinking that maybe Season 26’s winner had all but been chosen. But then came Tuesday’s episode, in which Reba McEntire, “Uncle Snoop” Dogg and Michael Bublé filled up their teams, and the introduction of a contestant that at least I thought was even more impressive. Read on, and after we review all of the advancing artists, we’ll discuss.

Dancing with the Stars historically taps into the emotional aspect of its celebrities’ stories. Dances crafted around a particular life event can translate into viewer votes and a mirrorball trophy. However, not all dances are created to get the judge’s praise. Some routines are cathartic, while others celebrate joy. Here are the five most emotional dances in the series’ history.
Amy Purdy and Derek Hough (season 18)
Derek Hough crafted a routine honoring Amy Purdy’s extraordinary story of losing both her legs and gaining back her life. The couple danced to the song “Human” by Christina Perri. Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba called this one of her favorite routines and featured it on her Facebook page.
Purdy’s legs were amputated 10 inches below the knee after she contracted bacterial meningitis at age 19. She was the first double amputee to appear in the series and made it...

Rita Wilson knew she wanted to bring the two Latino characters, played by Manuel Garcia Rulfo and Mariana Trevino, from “A Man Called Otto” into her song “Till You’re Home.” She fell in love with the vocals of Sebastián Yatra, who sang the Oscar-nominated “Dos Oruguitas” from Disney’s “Encanto” (2021). He had one day off and happened to be in Los Angeles, giving him one day to record the track. “We were incredibly lucky that he said yes,” says Wilson.
The actor, producer, singer and songwriter will enter the awards conversation for best original song for the upcoming Sony Pictures feature film, which stars her husband, Tom Hanks, and is directed by Marc Forster.
The track marks Wilson’s third eligible original song, which began with “Even More Mine” from “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2” (2016) and “Everybody Cries” from “The Outpost” (2020), but this isn’t her first dabbles in the music world.

Show host Ryan Seacrest made the announcement on tonight’s show, immediately following Anderson’s performance of Christina Perri’s ‘Human’. “You might have noticed that there was no voting information during Kenedi’s performance just now. Since we taped these shows in Hawaii earlier, Kenedi has decided to withdraw from our show for personal reasons.”
He then added, “We send her our well-wishes, and needless to say, we have incredible talent on this historic season, with more iconic Idol performance coming up for you right now.
