- Jamie Zubairi was born in Aldershot, United Kingdom, but grew up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
He studied at LAMDA and almost immediately started working in theatre in London.
He is also an accomplished, exhibited painter, having studied painting at De Montfort University. Most recently he can be seen in Chrissie Hynde's music video as the painter in 'Adding The Blue'.
Being mixed-race has allowed Zubairi to play a wide range of characters and races not only Malay and English but Spanish, Middle Eastern as well as Indian and Chinese.
In 2012 he wrote, produced and performed in 'Unbroken Line' his first solo show. In 2014 is co-wrote, co-produced and performed in 'Expectations'a 2-hander. Also in 2014 he features as Max in Russell T Davies' "Cucumber".
