Hollywood star Tom Hardy will narrate an upcoming three-part series exploring daring operations by elite military forces. The series, titled “Special Forces: Most Daring Missions,” will focus on high-profile incidents undertaken by the UK’s Special Air Service (Sas). Each episode will spotlight a real covert operation conducted by groups like the Sas. The show aims to highlight missions that display tremendous bravery and skill.
Episodes will recount missions like the 1980 siege of the Iranian embassy in London, known as “Operation Nimrod.” Federico Ruiz, an executive for the streaming service Paramount+, said the missions “showcased tremendous courage, often attempting rescues or responses that would seem impossible even for fictional heroes.” The show is a collaboration between production companies Soho Studios Entertainment and Two Rivers Media. It will debut later this year on Paramount+ in the UK and Ireland, with global distribution handled by Sphere Abacus.

If one more journalist asks Rupert Grint, a.k.a. Harry Potter's bestest bud Ron Weasly, "What's next for you?" he's likely to throw an Avada Kedavra. Thankfully, he doesn't have to worry about that anymore, because the question's been answered... sort of.
Assuming the film gets fully financed (check out their site to see how you can get involved if you have a few grand laying around) Grint is set to star in "Wartime Wanderers," a film about the 1939 Bolton Wanderers quidditch football (soccer) team that, after a rousing speech by captain Harry Goslin, enlisted in World War II as a group and became the 53rd Field Regiment of the Bolton Artillery, seeing action in North Africa, France and Italy.
Grint is attached to play team funnyman Ernie Forrest and will appear alongside film and Broadway star Jonathan Pryce (first three "Pirates of the Caribbean" films, "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra...

"Harry Potter" regular Rupert Grint and veteran thesp Jonathan Pryce have both joined the WW2 soccer flick "Wartime Wanderers" reports The Guardian.
The story follows the 1939 Bolton Wanderers F.C. team who enlisted to active duty en masse: a rarity among professional footballers of the time and saw action in France, North Africa and Italy. Only one of the 15 team members, captain Harry Goslin, was killed in action.
Pryce will play the team’s manager, while Grint will play the team joker Ernie Forrest. "Krod Mandoon" and "Meet the Spartans" hunk Sean Maguire will play Goslin.
Also onboard are Matthew McNulty as Ray Westwood, and Bradley Walsh as the Sergeant Major and the team's army handler. David Whitney (“Kandahar Break") directs from a script Jack Seddon and Tim Purcell adapted from Purcell's book.

David Whitney is a man from Bolton now making it to the big time with the release of his first feature film Kandahar Break – out now on DVD in shops across the UK. Obviously busy with the amount of attention he is receiving from this critically claimed film, he took some time out of his day to speak to us.
David has worked on short films and TV dramas, so taking the step to filming a feature was a massive leap, but as he states it was very enjoyable. “Moving from 3 to 4 day shoots to 13 hour, 28 day shoots can be tiring” but he kept his energy levels up. And needed to as he was in a bit of trouble whilst shooting. The film is based on a mine engineer in Afghanistan, but whilst shooting a scene on the boarder of this country, some of the crew members were shot at.

Kandahar Break, a new independent film written and directed by David Whitney, offers a love story as old as Romeo and Juliet at the core of a more contemporary thriller, every scene of which is packed with suspense. We are at first confronted with the stark landscape of Afghanistan: forbidding, dry, lonely, and frightening. The drama takes place in 1999 -- pre 9/11, before this strange and foreign place had assumed a large hold on our collective psyche. But this rough, mountainous region does have such a hold on us today, so the story becomes larger and scarier as each scene unfolds. Richard Lee, played by Shaun Dooley, is a member of a team of British engineers who are trying to find and destroy land mines that spot the dangerous countryside. But working for the Taliban, whose stringent rules restricting the...

Well, we’ve got some delights in store for us this week! To start off this great list of films it’s:
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (dir. Mike Newell, 2010) – Brought to you by Disney, produced by the same people as Pirates of the Caribbean, directed by Newell and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton and Ben Kingsley to name a few. This is probably one of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters of the year. Plus, being based on a video game and having witty dialogue, high action and special effects bringing the Swords and Sandals genre back to life, the film is going to soar to the top of the charts. Gyllenhaal transformed his body for the role and proved he can play almost any character, as long as he has an attractive co-star to work off of.
Close following this fight filled flick is:
