Deon Derrico

Deon Derrico was born September 16, 1983 to Eddie and Marian Derrico
and raised in inner-city Detroit, Michigan. Youngest child of two. His father,
Eddie Derrico, was owner of a construction company and lives in
Detroit, MI. His mother, Marian Derrico, owned a hair salon and lives
in Las Vegas, Nevada. Deon's grandmother (his mom's mother), who played a
major role in raising him, lives in Detroit, Mi. Deon's parents
divorced when he was 13 years old. Attended Detroit public schools,
including famous Cooley High School. Studied drama all through school.
In Detroit, Deon's handsome face landed him the lead in Not Another
Gospel Play. He became a hair stylist and salon owner and owned and
operated other small businesses to support his acting career. United
with Karen Carter-Derrico in 2002. Their two-year-old daughter Darian
was named for Deon's mom, Marian. Karen operates the Las Vegas daycare
center named for their daughter. Karen and Deon also have a 17-year old
adopted son, Derron Derrico. Deon lives in Hollywood, California where he
began to further his career and, shortly after arriving, landed his
first film and established Deon Derrico Entertainment, Inc. which is
the umbrella corporation for a wide-ranging company offering acting
classes, a talent agency, as well as production of film and television
programming.
