James A. House is a retired U.S. Army Veteran. He is a trained actor who performed the lead role of Bass Reeves in the 2010 feature film titled Bass Reeves, he has performed in several theatrical productions and short films. James is also a film, television and stage play director, he has directed over 20 stage plays with Spare The Rod, Spoil The Child starring Pastor Shirley Caesar being his latest. As an acting coach, he has coached actors on TV shows such as The Rickey Smiley Show, Tyler Perry's House of Payne and Tyler Perry's Assisted Living. In addition, James has served as assistant writer to Comedian J. Anthony Brown on The Judge Steve Harvey Show. He has received awards such as The Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016, the Pan-Hellenic Award from N.C. State University. He is the Founder and CEO of his non-profit organization House Theatre Arts Group, which work with undeserved children in the arts.
