- Brooklyn Joyce Garrison was born on the 19th of November 1994 in Jefferson City, Missouri USA. The youngest of 4 children, with 3 brothers in the home she was very determined to prove that being a girl didn't just represent ribbons, and dresses. She was never afraid of getting dirty, climbing trees, etc. Whatever the boys did, she did her best to do it too just as well.
Brooklyn's interest in Acting came in 2004 when a Talent Scout came to town and requested a second look. Her Parents David and Sonya Garrison took her to the John Robert Power "Images" Agency in nearby St. Louis, Missouri. From there she was invited to The International Presentation of Performers Convention 2007 (iPOP!) in Las Vegas Nevada. She won honorable mention for top 20 for print. (head shot) She went to several open calls as well as a callback from a Los Angeles California Agency called Hollander Talent Group. Brooklyn met with them during the month of March 2008 and was asked to sign with them.
She was the finalist winner of the St. Louis JRP Talent School, and runner up for the cover of JRP sponsored "Almost Famous Magazine" Winter Issue.
She was spotted by a very talented screenwriter (Alex Whitmer)who recommended her to the director (Phil Giordano) for the lead in a short film which she shot in New York in June 2008 titled Wednesday's Farewell.
