Christopher Stacy was born in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, on July 10, 1973. He was raised by his father, Peter, a prison superintendent, and his mother, Sue, a librarian. When just eighteen months old, Christopher was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma - a typically fatal type of cancer. Multiple surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy treatments saved a life that doctors had predicted would not last another six months. Throughout his life, Christopher continued to battle the effects of childhood cancer, undergoing more than twenty additional surgeries and fifty further hospital stays. He successfully conquered a life of disabilities and chronic pain and was able to graduate with his B.A. in Screenwriting in 2007. Christopher's unique life experiences have gifted him with an outlook on life and a voice as a writer that few others can claim. When writing about life's adversities, rather than having to imagine what it would have been like to have experienced them, Christopher actually has. He is now happy and healthy, and he is a screenwriter with unlimited and untapped potential. Christopher loves music and concerts, meditates daily as a means of continuing to cope with his ongoing health concerns, and he loves dogs. He currently lives in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota, where he is close to his many friends and family. Christopher foresees a productive, successful and healthy future as a screenwriter.
