No one knows how to make your mediocre job performance sting like a curmudgeonly co-worker at their wit’s end. They seem to know when you’re at your lowest point, then twist the knife to make you feel worse about not having the spoons to deal with tasks and unfinished projects. In Prime Video‘s Invincible Season 3 teaser trailer, Cecil (Walton Goggins) reads Mark (Steven Yeun) the riot act for botching a clean-up job for a group of criminal scum before reprimanding him for a laundry list of questions about why he’s slacking off. Like I said, no one gives you guff like a pissed-off co-worker.
Thankfully, Invincible Season 3 debuts on February 6, 2025, and there’s no mid-season break to give fans a reason to keyboard warrior their way through a period of impatience. Do you know how long it takes to produce an animated series? Exactly.

There was a significant gap (over two years) between the first and second seasons of Prime Video's Invincible animated series, but we had been assured that the wait for season 3 wouldn't be as long, and that's now been confirmed thanks to a leaked teaser.
Invincible will return to our screens on February 6, 2025 - and there will be no pesky mid-season break!
We have no idea how long this promo will stay up (and wouldn't be surprised if an official version was released fairly soon), but it finds a now 19-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) meeting with Cecil Stedman (Walton Goggins) in a café in a similar set-up to the season 2 teaser with Allen the Alien.
Cecil is not happy (for a change) with Mark taking a lengthy break from crime-fighting, and tells the young hero that he needs more training if he hopes to face the oncoming Viltrumite threat. It's a fun teaser,...

Invincible gained a notorious reputation for the delays faced by the animated show’s second season. Based on the Robert Kirkman comic of the same name, the show’s second season premiered almost two years after its debut season. Meanwhile, a live-action film based on the comic, which has been stuck in development is facing similar struggles.

During a recent interview, Kirkman spoke about the delays in getting the live-action film off the ground. The disappointing update certainly does not inspire hope of the movie materializing anytime soon. However, the reasons for the delay in a live-action Invicincble adaptation might just make fans go easy on Marvel’s Blade, which seems to be stuck in developmental hell.

We first learned of plans for a live-action Invincible movie in 2017. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg boarded the project as writers and directors, with Point Grey Pictures and Skybound Entertainment producing and Universal Pictures set to distribute.
All signs pointed to the project being a priority. Unfortunately, it seems to have fallen by the wayside, with the focus shifting to Prime Video's animated Invincible TV series based on Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley's comic book.
There have been a few updates suggesting the movie is still happening, something Kirkman confirmed during an interview with The Direct when he said, "It's still in development."
The prolific comic book writer added, "We're still working with Universal. You know, the show is going so well. I think the movie absolutely has to be perfect. And so it's taking a lot of time, like getting the pieces aligned and getting everything...

There was a significant gap between the first and second seasons of Prime Video's Invincible, with the show originally launching on March 25, 2021 and not returning until November 3, 2023.
Even then, the series was criticised for splitting season 2 in half, with the first batch of episodes ending in November and not returning until March 2024. Now, though, one of the show's lead stars has shared their belief that the wait for season 3 will be quite a bit shorter.
Talking at Galaxy Con, What If...? and Avengers: Endgame star Ross Marquand, who voices The Immortal, Aquarus, Rudy Connors, and various others, shared what he knows about Invincible's future.
"Invincible Season 3, we're almost wrapped on that," the actor teased (via Toonado.com). "I don't want to speak because Robert would be like, 'Don't tell people anything because we don't know.' But I have a feeling it's probably going to be early next year.

The Boys is one of the best superhero series with some of the most gory and violent action sequences. The Boys is just getting better with each new and let’s hope that’s the case for the upcoming fourth season. Could Invincible be getting more seasons on Prime Video? According to Skybound Republic, an investment/crowdfunding site that allows fans to invest in the label, more episodes of the ultra-violent comic book action series are coming. In a since-deleted portion of the webpage, the site said Invincible Season 3 is in production, while the show had been renewed for Seasons 4 and 5. The webpage promotes a video game set in the Invincible universe, which fans can help fund. The crowdfunded project sits at $442,700 as of this posting, with 14 days to go in the campaign.
A portion of the mission statement for the campaign describes why making a video based on a licensed property causes some problems:
“Most crowdfunded video games are centered around indie games, and retail investors rarely have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of Aaa game publishers. Skybound is developing a highly produced, high-octane blood bath that is anything but indie.

"Invincible" season 2 just wrapped (read our review here). While the long gap after season 1 slowed down the excitement, the second season kept the show's quality soaring higher than a Viltrumite.
"Invincible" may stream on Prime Video, but its origin story lies at Image Comics. Image was founded in 1992 as counter-programming to the Marvel/DC comics duopoly; the founders included '90s comic superstars like Rob Liefeld, Todd McFarlane, and Jim Lee (the man who rebranded the X-Men for the '90s). The "I" on Invincible's costume? It doesn't just stand for "Invincible," but "Image" too.
At Marvel and DC, the publishers own the characters and cycle out writers/artists at the popular ones. Image, on the other hand, specializes in creator-owned comics where writers and artists retain authority. That's why "Invincible" was personally created by Robert Kirkman, author of the comics. Recently, creator Robert Kirkman talked about race bending the leading characters of his show and how important it is to have representation. Calling himself and his comic co-creators “dumb white guys,” he said that when they wrote the comics, they didn’t understand how much representation mattered, and why he decided to change things up in the series.

This article contains spoilers for Invincible season 2 episode 5.
The best comic book superheroes tend to stick around awhile. DC’s Batman has been fighting crime in Gotham City since 1939. Marvel’s Spider-Man has been slinging webs since 1962. Even the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, originally launched as a satire of the genre in 1984, are now an established squad and have been for some time.
Along with that longevity, however, often comes an uncertain continuity. There are dozens of versions of Batman, Spider-Man, and the Tmnt that exist across countless storylines in comics, television, film, and beyond. One recent comic book character, however, has no such uncertain continuity. There’s only Invincible … give or take a few infinite multiverses.

What a time to be alive for superhero fans. We have '90s "X-Men" throwbacks to cater to the Millennial demographic, "Deadpool & Wolverine" is already shattering records and is about to become the obsession of every Ryan Reynolds-loving normie you know, and even "Madame Web" came through to deliver the early aughts superhero disaster you never knew you needed.
In the midst of it all is "Invincible," the Prime Video animated series that has quickly become a darker, edgier, and more violent alternative for fans who can't quite get their fix from Marvel or DC on the big screen. Now in its critically acclaimed second season, the show doubled down on the blood and gore in the continued adventures of Mark Grayson. Amazon’s decision to split season 2 of its epic animated superhero series Invincible into two parts has been received, let’s say … less than warmly.
After the first four episodes of Invincible season 2 finished premiering Nov. 24, 2023 on Prime Video, fans have had to wait a grueling four months without fresh dispatches from Mark Grayson a.k.a. Invincible’s story. Thankfully, the wait for Invincible season 2 part 2 is almost over. And even more thankfully, Prime Video has now released an action-packed trailer of what’s to come. Give it a watch below:
Every episode of Invincible has quite a lot going on in it. That’s bound to happen when attempting to adapt 144 issues of Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley’s massive comic into TV-sized installments. Fittingly then, there’s a lot going on in this trailer as well.

Spoilers for "Invincible" follow.
Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley's "Invincible" is an unusual superhero comic. It blends the genre's aesthetics and tropes together into a mighty sweet cocktail, yet it eschews the storytelling mode of these comics: the "floating timeline," where no characters age and the status quo remains supreme. No, "Invincible" is the rare serialized superhero story with linear, forward-moving storytelling and, ultimately, an ending.
Not to worry, though; the first season of Prime Video's "Invincible" series mostly adapted the first 13 issues/three volumes of the comic, out of 144 issues/25 volumes. Even with season 2 finally premiering, the series is nowhere near the comic's conclusion. If all goes as planned, fans will be watching the animated adventures of Mark Grayson/Invincible (Steven Yeun) for many more seasons.
That's not to say season 2 hasn't already teased future storylines. Thus far, "Invincible" has taken an adaptation approach similar to "The Walking Dead,...

While elite comic outfits like DC and Marvel grapple with live-action reinvention, Prime Video's Invincible has found its niche. Unrestrained, in almost every sense of the word, by animation and content to keep its expanding universe contained to one series, this irrepressibly violent adaptation of Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley's heroic magnum opus can focus on what matters most: character, story, and a ridiculous amount of head-exploding action sequences.
Boosted by a nigh-impeccable voice cast and a healthy commitment to its comic source material, Invincible Season 1 was quality hard-r superhero TV, imbued with four-color lunchbox appeal and simmering family drama. Season 2 is more, much more, of the same. That's no bad thing.

Debbie Grayson (Sandra Oh) is tormented by a cabinet door that won’t shut. It suffered a shoddy repair job following the calamity that upended Debbie’s life one month ago, when her husband, Nolan (J.K. Simmons), the extraterrestrial superhero known as Omni-Man, revealed his mission to colonize Earth for his homeland of Viltrum. Nolan leveled the city of Chicago, killing thousands of people and nearly murdering their son, Mark (Steven Yeun), before flying off into the atmosphere. Debbie’s frequent trips to the kitchen for glasses of wine culminate in clashes with the door, which remains slightly ajar—a stubborn symbol of the anger and grief that she hasn’t figured out how to compartmentalize.

Being the creator of The Walking Dead comes with its perks, we’re sure. But for Robert Kirkman, it can be a hassle sometimes, especially when you’re around to promote the hotly anticipated second season of Invincible. Following his exclusive interview with TV Insider (soon to come), Kirkman graced us with his signature on several of our Twd merchandise, including some trade paperbacks, TV Guide magazines with the show on the cover, and some blown-up promotional art, among other things. However, the items soon increased in quantity and size before long. See how Kirkman handles it in the abundance of material in the video footage above. Based on the groundbreaking comic book by Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, Invincible revolves around 18-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except his father is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet.
