Sharlota Kay

Born and raised in Kaunas, Lithuania, Sharlota Kay left the country at
the age of 18 and moved to London, England where she would spent the
next 5 years of her life. While working first in a B&B hotel, then
doing various promotions, and ultimately being hired as a legal
receptionist in a prestigious world renown law firm, Sharlota graduated
from ASAD (The Academy of the Science of Acting and Directing) with a
determination to pursue her acting carrier in an English speaking
country. While in ASAD, Sharlota performed at the Edinburgh Fringe as
well Moscow Podium Festivals, learned a great deal about human
psychology and some invaluable acting skills. Having always wanted to
live the American dream, Kay decided to continue with her acting
studies in New York City. In 2006 Sharlota left England for the US and
joined The New Actors Workshop, a two-year acting conservatory founded
by three master teacher/directors Paul Sills, Mike Nichols and George
Morrison. In addition to the great acting syllabus and the wonderful
guidance by both George Morrison and an Academy Award Winner Mike
Nichols, Sharlota learned a great deal about improvisation from Kathy
Hendrickson and about movement and space exploration from K Tanzer.
Since her graduation from NAW in June, 2008. Since then Kay has
successfully completed several shorts and commercials and landed a
leading role in the upcoming indie feature "Something's Lost".
