Aurora Kruk is a first assistant art director specializing in concept illustration and hero art pieces for film & television.
Recently, she has designed and executed featured pieces for shows such as Guillermo Del Toro's Oscar Award-winning "Nightmare Alley", "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark", and the yet-to-be-released "Frankenstein"; the Emmy Award-winning "What We Do in the Shadows" (seasons 2-5); and was responsible for nearly all of the commissioned artwork featured in the Emmy Award-nominated "The Umbrella Academy" (seasons 1-4).
It was during her time on "The Umbrella Academy" that Aurora graduated to the role of concept artist, going on to illustrate for seven shows in quick succession- including costume illustration for the Emmy Award-nominated and CAFTCAD Award-winning "Star Trek SNW"- before returning to act as the exclusive concept artist for "The Umbrella Academy"'s fourth and final season.
Born in the heart of downtown Toronto to a family of artists and entrepreneurs, Aurora's ingrained attraction to visual art was warmly encouraged. The consistent, focused, creative practice that began in very early childhood continues to characterize her daily life.
Aurora graduated at the top of her class from OCAD University with a Bachelor of Design in Illustration.
