Created by Kurt Sutter, Sons of Anarchy premiered on FX in 2008 and came to an end in 2014 after seven seasons full of drama, betrayal, and action, and it wouldn't have been the same without the real bikers in the cast. In order to bring the now-concluded Sons of Anarchy to life, Sutter took inspiration from real-life motorcycle clubs, and the real Sons of Anarchy bikers influenced the actors of the show. Among those real-life motorcycle clubs was the Hells Angels organization, one of the most famous motorcycle clubs in the world.
Sons of Anarchy was very well received throughout its whole run, with critics praising its story, themes, and the performances of the main cast, particularly that of Katey Sagal as the doomed Gemma Teller-Morrow. A few members of the Hells Angels were part of the show's cast, including the biker characters, and even the fan-favorite Sons of Anarchy character Happy.

The success of Sons of Anarchy was due in part to the iconic motorcycles ridden by Samcro members, which took center stage on the show. The technical advisor, David Labrava, who served as a member of a real-life motorcycle club, helped make the Sons of Anarchy bikes more authentic and memorable. Each character's bike had unique features and customization, reflecting their personality and storyline on the show.
The Sons Of Anarchy bikes ridden by members of Samcro were as much of a reason for the show's success as the action-packed story, and the best Soa motorcycles are some of the most iconic engines on two wheels to grace the small screen. The characters weren't the only stars of Sons of Anarchy, as it was impossible to ignore the Soa motorcycles since Samcro was a gang doubling as a motorcycle club. Happy Lowman, a character played by real-life Hells Angel, met a disappointing end in Mayans M.C. Happy Lowman was a loyal and ruthless member of Samcro with a dark past and a trademark smiley face tattoo tradition. Happy's unfortunate demise in Mayans M.C. was forced and poorly written, failing to honor his character.
Sons of Anarchy counted on the help and presence of real-life members of the Hells Angels, and one of them ended up becoming a fan-favorite character but he got a very disappointing fate. Back in 2008, Kurt Sutter brought the action crime drama TV series Sons of Anarchy, which took the audience to the fictional town of Charming, California, to meet the title motorcycle club. Unholy Ones patch in Sons of Anarchy is reserved for club members willing to kill and die for Samcro. Samcro patches denote rank and role, with President, VP, and Sgt. at Arms among them. Club rules on patches in Sons of Anarchy are often flexible, based on loyalty and club benefits.
The Sons of Anarchy motorcycle club members wore different patches depending on their role(s) in the club, but what does the Unholy Ones patch mean and why not all characters wore it? Sons of Anarchy took viewers to the fictional town of Charming, California, to take a look into the world of motorcycle clubs, and while it wasnt entirely accurate all the time, it made for a TV series packed with action and drama. Through Jackson Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam), viewers got to learn about the ranks of Samcro members, but the series left several unanswered questions about them.

This will be more of a true post-mortem than a recap because co-creator Elgin James decided to kill off two important characters tonight in the episode titled “The Fear of Death, I Eat Stars.” We could be mad they’re gone but this is the world they chose to live and they lived it hard. Things are looking glum for all the characters on FX’s Mayans M.C. during the show’s fifth and final season but episode 6 titled “My Eyes Filled And Then Closed On The Last Of Childhood Tears” will push longtime fans over the edge.
Ez Reyes (J.D. Pardo) recruits his brother Angel (Clayton Cardenas) on a mysterious mission leaving the latter worried for his life. The pair arrives at an unknown location and they walk towards the front door as Ez, who has a gun pointed at the back of Angel’s head, commands his sibling to open the door.
“Mom wouldn’t want us to hurt each other. She would want us to be together,” an extremely nervous Angel tells Ez.

FX’s Mayans M.C. season five episode six begins with the Reyes brothers (separately) starting their days. Ez’s body is black and blue, and he dresses silently so as not to wake Sofia. Angel (Clayton Cardenas) emerges from trying to wash the weight of the world off of his shoulders in the shower and picks up his young son, telling Maverick it’s just the two of them as Adelita continues to sleep.
Angel makes toast for breakfast while holding Maverick. At the same time, Ez (Jd Pardo) gets into his truck and places a loaded gun on the passenger seat.

The Sons of Anarchy club is formed by men with different backstories, perspectives of life, and ways to defend the club and their brothers, and one of the most loyal and ruthless members of Samcro is Happy Lowman (David Labrava), whose nickname has an obscure origin. Sons of Anarchy took viewers to the fictional town of Charming, California, to take a look into the world of motorcycle clubs, led by the title club’s VP, Jackson “Jax” Teller (Charlie Hunnam).
Through Jax, the audience met the other members of Samcro and got to see what each of them does for the club, as there’s a hierarchy in Samcro represented through patches on the vests of every club member. Some members of the club are given the toughest, most ruthless tasks given their personalities and abilities, and among Samcro’s toughest guys is Happy Lowman, who was introduced in the...

Sons of Anarchy was packed with action due to the title club being involved in many conflicts with other groups and individuals, and there are only two characters who never killed anyone in the whole series. The Sons of Anarchy club saw a lot of drama among its members due to clashing personalities and conflicting interests, but because that wasn’t enough, there was also a lot of conflict in the personal lives of Samcro’s members and with other clubs and organizations, leading Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) and company to kill many people on different occasions, either for their own protection or for that of the club.
Of course, all those conflicts, fights, and shootings on the streets of Charming, California led to many tragedies as no one in Samcro was safe from being hurt or killed, and there were cases where one bad, violent decision led to the death of a Samcro member,...

On December 9th, 2014 after seven seasons on the road, FX's "Sons of Anarchy" took its final ride. Show creator Kurt Sutter's series about a biker gang from Northern California follows Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam), the heir apparent to the titular motorcycle club, and his manipulative mother Gemma Teller Morrow (Katey Sagal), the club's matriarch. After stumbling upon memoirs written by his late father, Jax begins to question the direction of Samcro (Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original) and challenges the leadership of his stepfather Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman), the club's current president.
Loosely based on Shakespeare's "Hamlet," much of the core drama centers on the struggle between Jax and Clay for the direction of the M.C. with manipulation behind the scenes from Gemma and Dr. Tara Knowles (Maggie Siff), Jax's eventual wife. "Sons of Anarchy'' has always prided itself on its authenticity, with most cast members...

Spoiler Alert: The following reveals major plot points from the Season 4 finale of FX’s Mayans M.C.
If there was any question left as to Coco’s (Richard Cabral) fate on FX’s Mayans M.C., the Season 4 finale confirms the beloved character’s death as he is finally laid to rest. His life, like that of others running in similar circles, was cut short due to an act of violence that could’ve easily been avoided.
But there’s no point lamenting how things could’ve been. Instead, Johnny “El Coco” Cruz was given a hero’s farewell worthy of a Marine who sacrificed for his country. In a particularly emotional scene, Coco’s best friend and brother-in-arms Gilly (Vincent “Rocco” Vargas) presented Coco’s daughter with the American flag that draped his casket.
It’s worth noting Vargas is a real-life combat veteran who served his country proudly as part of the Army.

Originality is something I always scream out for, especially when it comes to horror movies. I’m not someone that constantly complains about remakes or sequels but I love to see things I have never seen before, twists on ideas that are well known and Hunter’s Moon at least aims to do this.
It all seems very clichéd at first but I’m sure that’s the idea. We see a family – Mother, father, three daughters – moving from the city into a new house in a small town. Once settled the parents go out for the night, leaving their teenage daughter’s home alone, only for three locals to have invited themselves into the property. From there though,...

On the surface, Sons of Anarchy was a loud, brash, and often violent portrait of life inside a criminal outlaw motorcycle club, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. Underneath all of the machismo, leather cuts, and Mr. Mayhem tattoos beat the heart of a show that had more in common with the likes of The Sopranos or The Wire than many may realize.
Like The Sopranos, Sons of Anarchy explored enduring themes like loyalty and redemption against a backdrop of criminality and corruption. In Charlie Hunnam’s Jax Teller, the show had a central anti-hero to rival Tony Soprano, as a character both sympathetic and disgusting in equal measure. Like The Wire, Sons of Anarchy also maintained a foundation of realism, helped by the presence of David Labrava, a real-life member of the Oakland chapter of the Hells Angels, who served as technical adviser on the show and...

Mayans Mc Episode 10
The Mayans Mc season finale hit me straight in the feels thanks in large part to Angel’s truly extraordinary emoting. No shit, Clayton Cardenas knocked that shit out of the park. Watching him struggle to make hard choices all season was one thing, but watching the character deal with the raw, visceral emotions of betrayal, once he discovers Ez’s deal with the feds, through envy of his Ez’s relationship with their father, and then to land on love and loyalty as he does terrible things to protect his younger brother was amazing. And somehow Cardenas managed to hang it all on a look. What could have easily devolved into a whiny debacle about family drama with a lesser actor,...

It's a sad day for Sons of Anarchy fans. Alan O'Neill, who played Hugh on Seasons 6 and 7 of the hit FX show, has passed away. The actor was only 47 years old. The sad news was reported on June 7, after his girlfriend found his body in her apartment's hallway after he died the night before, law enforcement sources tell TMZ. No foul play is suspected in the case. While an autopsy has yet to be completed to determine the cause of death, Alan reportedly had a history of heart issues, and had been a smoker for a long time. Spoiler alert: The Nov. 4 episode of Sons of Anarchy, "What a Piece of Work Is Man," said goodbye to a core character and watched another make a surprising move on the hood of a cop car. (Read our postmortems with Mark Boone Junior (Bobby) and Annabeth Gish (Jarry).) Peter Weller, who directed the episode—and, of course, recurs on the series as Charlie Barosky—spoke to EW about those memorable scenes, what makes Sons special, and how the Nov. 18 episode, which he also directed, nearly destroyed him. Entertainment Weekly: How tough was it to shoot Bobby's death scene? Weller: I'm a real crybaby.

Spoiler alert: In the Nov. 4 episode of Sons of Anarchy, Jax (Charlie Hunnam) made another play to get Bobby (Mark Boone Junior) back from August Marks (Billy Brown). Bobby's fate—a bullet to the head from the gun Marks had hidden on him before the no-weapons-allowed exchange—will have surprised the fans who voted Samcro's de facto conscience the club member most likely to survive in a pre-season EW.com poll. "I took that as a great compliment that people actually wanted me to survive," Boone says. "I think that this show does surprising things more than most shows, and...

Sons of Anarchy opened with Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and Juice (Theo Rossi) at the fateful location where John Teller died. Instead of killing Juice for his betrayal, Jax decided to give him a mission to test his loyality to the brotherhood. Jax tells him to get himself arrested by shooting at the tires of cop cars. Once he’s inside, he’s to kill Lin (Kenneth Choi). Unbeknownst to Juice, Jax has a back-up plan in the form of Ron Tully (Marilyn Manson) should he fail.

Two weeks from today, Sons of Anarchy’s final ride begins. We’ve already seen a shot of Charlie Hunnam and Marilyn Manson in the Sept. 9 season premiere; now FX has released more images. Above, a not-at-all awkward shot of Jax (Hunnam) with Gemma (Katey Sagal), the mother he doesn’t know killed his wife, and Wendy (Drea de Matteo), his ex who checks herself out of rehab early and wants to help out with the boys.
Of course, that encounter is still preferable to the one Jax has at the start of the season premiere when he’s being held in jail.

Comic-Con International has released the schedule for Sunday July 27th. This is the last day of Comic-Con, and they will be closing it out with some big TV panels like Supernatural, Sons of Anarchy and The Strain. There's also a panel for the Batkid documentary that was made. I rarely stay for the whole convention on Sunday, but I think I actually might try to stick around this year and enjoy myself. You can go through the full schedule here, but you'll find some of the highlights listed below.

After the death of Clay (Ron Perlman) in "Aon Rud Persanta," "Sons of Anarchy" still has a ways to go before there will be any peace. "You Are My Sunshine" took things to an even deeper level of blood, all in an attempt to make things right.
The first issue finds Nero (Jimmy Smits) as uneasy as ever over his deal with Samcro. He just wants to run his growing brothel empire, but partnering with a violent club isn't exactly helping. In fact, a returning Alvarez (Emilio Rivera) reaches out on behalf of the Mayans to let Nero know that his club is setting up shop in Stockton and partnering with the Chinese, to oppose the Irish, the club and August Marks (Billy Brown), leaving Nero and his gang, the Byz Lats, in a difficult position. Lines are being drawn between races and the Lats are concerned Nero is too involved with Samcro.

The confrontation between Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and Tara (Maggie Siff) on "Sons of Anarchy" was about as explosive as you might expect, though it wasn't Jax doing the yelling.
The episode starts with Tara waking to the sound of someone in her home. She goes to check on her young son, only to realize he's gone, so she freaks. When she realizes he's with Jax, it doesn't calm her nerves at all. Playing the peacemaker in the situation, for now at least, Jax says he's essentially moving out to clear his head so they can decide what to do. Not without the warning that she's being watched, though.
Meanwhile, Tara's allies are dropping like flies. She can no longer trust Lowen (Robin Weigert) or Wendy (Drea de Matteo), Unser (Dayton Callie) dropped her, and Margaret Murphy (McNally Sagal) is taking an extended vacation to get away from the insanity.
Finally losing her temper,...

Sons of Anarchy Season 6 Episode 9
“John 8:32” may very well have been my favorite episode of Sons of Anarchy this season. There was something especially cathartic about seeing all of the family squabbles play out, without the needless distractions of wacky explosions, “shocking” deaths or Walter Goggins’ boob scenes.
It’s always great when the cast has a chance to breath and captivate us without running around ad nauseam to an up tempo chase song. I love action just as much as the next guy, but it’s those solemn songs and moments that really draw you in to this motorcycle-club drama.
Although the Jax vs. Clay beef has been played and strung along like turkey meat, I’m digging the new Jax vs. Tara drama. Throughout the past few seasons the Jax, Tara and Gemma love triangle has been had its share ups and downs. But that’s what...

The story of Sons Of Anarchy has entered its final act, and with it comes the violence. As the show's sixth season starts, there has been a lot of turmoil and turn-over for the beloved motorcycle club, but what is really in store for this season?
"We are on the down side of the mountain," said Kim Coates, who plays Tig Trager on Soa, during the red carpet premiere of the new season. "Now we are two seasons away from putting a nail in this coffin."

I realize that everyone thinking Sons of Anarchy right now is probably focused on the the loss of a major player last night but we have to think beyond that right now, or rather, before it to take in this new Samcro featurette we have from FX. I hadn’t realized that these “before the Anarchy” bits were going to continue after the new season started, but now that you are a man down and perhaps mourning, this featurette brings you a dose of Happy.
Happy, at least, in the form of David Labrava, who is a real member of the Hell’s Angels. You know him as Happy or “Hap” but he actually has two true-to-life nicknames, and you will learn the origins of one of them, “Liftoff”, in this video.
