- For full-time professional work, outside of Film Acting, James is an Instructor-Led Trainer, and he's worked for a variety of companies and corporations in regards to the tasks of Corporate Training and Instructional Designing.
- James served a total of 8 years in the United States Air Force (USAF). 4 years on Active Duty and 4 years in the Reserves (USAFR). His USAF specialty skills were Ground Radio Communications, Nondestructive Inspection, Training Management, and Technical Writing. Those specialties and more allowed James to work on many types of aircraft to include the F-16, F-15, C-17, C-5 and the KC-135.
- James played the Viola while he attended Pease Middle School in San Antonio, TX for 3 years. He wasn't able to continue playing in High School since his father received military orders to change duty stations from Lackland AFB, TX to Barksdale AFB, LA in 1997. Upon enrollment at Bossier High School, it was discovered that the school did not have an Orchestra program.
- He received his Competent Communicator Award from Toastmasters International after successfully delivering 10 public speeches.
- He obtained his Bachelor's Degree with a major in Education in August, 2007 from Wayland Baptist University. He was able to finish his degree within 4 years while working full time in the military for 4 years. He anticipates to graduate with his Masters in Multimedia Communications from the Academy of Art University in 2014.
- Avid believer that the military taught James a lot about self-discipline, integrity, charisma, and self-motivation. He uses those priceless qualities to his advantage in fulfilling his ambition with his acting career.
- All through Elementary School, Middle School, High School, and still to this day, James has the gift of Number Sense. For example, he is able to mathematically multiply problems mentally and achieve the correct answer without any help. He is referred to as the Human Calculator.
