Jeremy Stutes was born in Longview, Texas to Robert and Betsy Stutes. He grew up in Southeast Texas and gravitated towards theater and singing from a very young age. His first paid performance was in high school when he was asked to sing the national anthem at a Houston Bar Association meeting. After graduating from high school, Jeremy continued his studies in performing arts and media studies at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. There, Jeremy was exposed to a variety of experimental film and theater techniques including direct animation and shadow puppetry.
After graduating from Evergreen with a B.A. in performing arts and media studies, Jeremy moved to Hollywood where he landed a role as a production assistant on NBC's Last Comic Standing. It didn't take long for him to realize that he missed performing. He found work as a background actor on Glee, Greek, Big Time Rush, and Secret Life of the American Teenager while simultaneously working at at Apple teaching video editing software and RED camera workflows to those in the Hollywood entertainment community.
In 2016, Jeremy traveled to Thailand where he met his now husband, internationally acclaimed aerialist Prakorn Weeraphon "Pragon Wee", and began living in abroad. It was there that he landed a role in his first feature film, The Driver. He continued his acting training at prestigious studios in Thailand including The Cave, Spark Drama, and Bangkok Actors Studio as well as Michael Howard Studios in New York. Eventually, he began coaching other actors on the set of prominent theater and film projects for Grand Opera Thailand, Netflix, and Amazon Studios.
On stage, Jeremy has performed Sebastian in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. He's also performed as himself at Hollywood Cavalcade and improv comedy at The Comedy Club Bangkok. He was a lead dance instructor teaching thousands to do the Thriller dance for Thrill The World at LA Live after Michael Jackson's death in 2009.
In his free time, Jeremy loves spending time with his husband while traveling the world, scuba diving, studying Muay Thai, singing jazz standards and Broadway showtunes, advocating for better public transportation and urban design, and speaking out about his real-world experiences as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
