Busted Buggy Entertainment's upcoming supernatural film Holy Oak is set to begin production on January 6th in Central Texas, and here's the first wave of the film's cast and crew.

Holy Oak is written and directed by Bryan Ryan and serving as producers on the project are Mel Housefrom Upstart Films and Heather Wixson from Final Girl Films. Joining in on the party are award-winning cinematographer Will Barratt (Frozen, Hatchet II) and special effects maestro Robert Hall, who owns Almost Human Special Effects Studio (The Crazies). Indie horror favorite Aj Bowen (The House of the Devil) has the lead role of Detective Albright. Joining Bowen are up-and-coming actress Courtney Daniels, who will be Holy Oak’s female lead,Kim Mallory and living legend Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects, Rob Zombie’s Halloween) who’ll portray Phillip, Kim’s father; Pisha Warden, Andre Bolourchi, Jessica Whitaker and Corbett Tuck. Casting is still under way.

As we told you last week, production on Busted Buggy Entertainment's upcoming supernatural film Holy Oak is slated to begin in early January in Texas, and now we have the exclusive first word on the film's cast and crew.

Written and directed by Bryan Ryan, Holy Oak marks Busted Buggy and Ryan’s second collaboration after working together recently on the horror short film, "The Guest". Also serving as producers on the project are Mel House of Upstart Films and Heather Wixson of Final Girl Films.

Unfortunately the teaser doesn't actually contain any real footage, but based on the poster I've got high hopes. This will be dropping sometime in 2009 presumably on the fest circuit.

Heavily influenced by Romero, World War Z and "The Walking Dead" graphic novel, director Turner Van Ryn and Producer Steve Romanko weave a tale of defeat and redemption in the face of an enemy that will never stop. "The Hell Patrol", is currently in production in Corning, California. It stars Pisha Warden as Lt. Sandi Fletcher and Scott Levy (Adventures of Johnny Tao, Fight or Die, The Helix...Loaded) as Sgt. Mark Daniels.
