“Silo” Season 2 came to a fiery end last week — delivering a finale designed to leave viewers with plenty of questions about the Apple TV+ sci-fi drama’s next steps and the fates of both Bernard (Tim Robbins) and Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson). The series has already been renewed for a third season, as well as a fourth that is being billed as its last, which means fans will get to see its latest mysteries resolved eventually. When that will be is unclear, as Apple has yet to announce a return date for “Silo.”
Fortunately, while “Silo” has an atmosphere, tone, and look that are entirely its own, there are a few series that scratch many of the same itches as it. Here are six shows, in particular, that we here at TheWrap recommend you watch while you wait for “Silo” Season 3.

Edgar Wright’s new adaptation of The Running Man has found its host. Colman Domingo, known for his roles in Rustin and Fear the Walking Dead, has been cast as the charismatic face of the deadly game show in this reimagined version of the dystopian thriller. Kill your darlings” is a phrase attributed to William Faulkner, advising writers to resist overuse of their favorite expressions, tropes, characters, etc. This is true for any writing, wherein emotional proximity to the work might manifest into myopic creations in the grander scheme of things. However canonized this belief is, the hypothesis falls apart for Nicolas Winding Refn.
Armed with a style that has only grown more distinctive with every new film, Refn explores fundamental themes and deploys the camera to shift between fluidity and limbo. With sensibilities similar to a master architect, Refn uses frames to create moments that let the viewer internalize, and experience on a physio-psychological level, a creation that does not confine itself to a two-dimensional rectangle, but reminds you of what was felt while watching it. This is the moment the Nicolas Winding Refn effect kicks in, and this is when cinema affects one on a deeply personal level.

Some very exciting news for horror fans this evening, as Mike Flanagan is re-teaming with Stephen King for a new small-screen adaptation of the legendary's author's first novel, Carrie.
Deadline reports that the pair - who recently collaborated on the upcoming The Life of Chuck - are developing the supernatural coming-of-rage tale as an eight-episode series for Amazon, with Flanagan on board as showrunner and exec producer.
Brian De Palma's 1976 take on the book is widely viewed as one of the better King adaptations, with Sissy Spacek delivering a terrifying and tragic turn as the title character, who begins to manifest destructive telekinetic abilities after being relentlessly bullied by her classmates and tormented by her domineering religious fanatic mother. John Travolta, Piper Laurie, Amy Irving, Nancy Allen, Betty Buckley and William Katt also starred.
The movie's climactic bloodbath is often hailed as one of the most iconic scenes in cinema history.

Paramount Pictures' and director Edgar Wright's long-gestating adaptation of Stephen King's The Running Man is finally moving forward with Glen Powell in the lead role of Ben Richards, and the project has now added some A-list support in the form of Josh Brolin.
Deadline reports that Brolin is in final talks to play the "antagonist behind the violent reality show." However, Justin Kroll would later clarify that Brolin will not be playing the main villain, Damon Killian, but an unnamed producer on the series of the title.
Brolin played Thanos in Marvel Studios' Infinity Saga (there are rumors that he's set to return for Avengers: Secret Wars), as well as Cable in Deadpool 2. The highly in-demand actor recently passed on the offer to play Hal Jordan in the Dcu Lanterns series.
For those wondering, Brolin playing producer not Richard Dawson role, that is still open https://t.

As a wise Mad Titan once sort of said, "Dread it, run from it, a new villainous role for Josh Brolin arrives all the same." Or at least, that certainly seems to be the case for the Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame star, who has just become the latest star to board Edgar Wright's upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's dystopian sci-fi classic The Running Man. Per Deadline's reporting, Brolin — who just recently wrapped shooting on Rian Johnson's Knives Out threequel Wake Up Dead Man — is in final talks to take on the lead villain role in Wright's latest feature outing.
Whilst there's no concrete word yet on who exactly Brolin will play in the film, which Wright has co-written with Scott Pilgrim writing partner Michael Bacall, Deadline's sources are suggesting the Sicario actor is set to play the man responsible for the violent reality show Glen Powell...

Why do we bestow upon Hollywood’s finest the name of ‘stars’? Consider this for a moment; it is not mere hyperbole: these big screen icons exude an aura that can carry charismatic waves across an entire room, drawing us into their gravitational pull. And thus, it won’t be wrong to say that Austin Butler, the Golden Globe-touting charmer, incarnates this star-quality phenomenon.
For instance, last month, he mesmerized and gave Sarah Harris, host of The Project, a rosy-cheeked tizzy. He worked his magic with the finesse of a maestro, making laser-focused eye contact and using a voice that seemed to channel Elvis Presley himself—all without revealing too much about his game.

A masterclass in magnetism, Butler’s smoldering charm was not only palpable to the enamored interviewer but also to the legion of fans who found themselves orbiting his star power in the comments.
