    • Trivia
Although he has often played posh parts, Hollingworth was raised on benefits by his single mother in West Yorkshire. A rugby injury led him to successfully audition for the National Youth Theatre, where he began his career. He then borrowed heavily in order to study at Trinity College Dublin and UCLA and went on to train as an actor at RADA. His paternal family - McCarthy's - originally hail from Limerick in Ireland.
