The exotic, daughter of a Texan military engineer father, Timothy, and Thoan a real estate Developer. Her ancestry includes Vietnamese/French, Scottish, Native American, and Swedish. Sophia grew-up in the foothills of Pasadena, California. She began her study of the performing arts in her nascent childhood,
with Ballet classes at age five at the Colburn School of Performing Arts in Downtown, Los Angeles. She continued her study of the performing arts until she graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Training began in classical theatre with Howard Fine, Anthony Meindl, and improvisation at UCLA. Initially, she began her career represented by Q Models and appearing in magazine editorials for Elle Magazine and Cosmopolitan. Subsequently, she parlayed her talent into 73 national television commercials, in campaigns for Fortune 500 companies such as Apple iPhone, Toyota GR86, the Venetian Hotel, with two-time, Oscar-winning, director Alejandro Inarritu and Lux Shampoo starring Scarlett Johansson. Additionally, she enjoyed shooting a segment with Michael J. Fox for his former pilot with director Will Gluck. The footage is probably stashed in a secret vault at NBC Universal.
Her feature film debut was with Home Again, a romantic comedy film, starring Reese Witherspoon; directed by Hallie Meyers-Shyer. Also, in Will Smith's latest Oscar-winning film and 20 years in the making is, "King Richard." She had the pleasure of shooting her Very first, ten episode, Season One of the 1970's LA feminist television series for HBO Max , "Minx" as a Playboy playmate. Season 1+2, are streaming on the STARZ platform. She and her late beau, Harrison Wagner can be seen on Netflix, in a premiered series and must-see, "BEEF" starring Ali Wong and Steven Yeun. BEEF continued on to win 8 out of it's 13 Emmy nominations. Ali Wong, became the First woman of Asian descent to win for Lead Actress in a limited or Anthology series at the 75th Emmy Awards. Lastly, she's currently shooting a new feature, "The Prince" written by David Mamet, directed by Cameron Van Hoy, regarding an addict's arduous journey into recovery.
Has completed one semester as a Graduate student in the History Department at the University of Hawaii, Manoa.
Harrison Hale Wagner, the love of her life, passed away in a parking lot in North Hollywood on June 6, 2022.
She and her siblings are Heiresses to the family's real estate holdings: recent purchase being in the canal district of Venice Beach, California.
