Anna Carvalho is an award-winning multilingual director and actress celebrated for bringing to life fearless and intriguing characters who passionately fight for their beliefs. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, this Luso-American artist has gained recognition for her creativity, determined spirit, and dedication to meaningful storytelling.
Anna began her acting journey with a debut role in the Venice-awarded feature film Bones (1997) directed by Pedro Costa, before moving to London to study and work in acting.
In Portugal, she graduated in Audiovisuals and later pursued a Master's in Performing Arts. During this time, Anna expanded her talents beyond acting into producing, directing, and writing for newspapers, theater productions, and films.
Her international career includes studying and working in the UK, Italy, Germany, Spain, and the USA.
Anna's on-screen work can be seen on Prime Video in award-winning films such as Free Dead or Alive (2022) alongside actresses Patricia Velasquez and Edy Ganem and Lux (2015) with actor José Pimentão .
