Daniel Matea

Daniel Matea was born on February 25th, 1981 in Costa Mesa, California. He is the second oldest child of an established midwife and loving mother. Before his first birthday his family moved to Ohio. Though they moved around a lot when he was young his family mostly remained in the city of Canton. Daniel was home-schooled for most of his life, but did attend Mckinley High for a couple years. After high school Daniel remained in the community for a few years until entering an acting contest (IMTA) in New York. Fascinated with films for most of his life Daniel always had a deep rooted acting bug that continually worked away at him. Unable to ignore it any longer he entered the contest and won 5 awards. He was also given a scholarship to attend the acclaimed school: The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Fifteen days after returning from IMTA in New York he packed up and moved back to New York to attend school. For the next two years he worked hard learning his craft and in January 2008 he co-starred in the Off-Broadway production of Bathsheba. In May 2008 he graduated at the top of his class from The New York Conservatory. Daniel has just co-starred in the thriller Midnight Passion which is scheduled to release in February '09.
