Lifetime movies reached a new, perhaps overdue milestone when A Cowboy Christmas Romance premiered on December 9. The holiday movie (written and executive produced by Grey’s Anatomy alum Sarah Drew) featured Lifetime’s first-ever sex scene. Jana Kramer stars in the TV movie as Lexie Crenshaw, a real estate closer who returns to her hometown in Arizona and tries to convince a horse-whispering rancher, Coby Mason (Adam Senn), to part ways with his land. As it always goes with this style, an unlikely romance forms between these two, their connection leading to Lifetime’s most Nsfw, albeit brief, scene. Setting the romantic tryst in a barn certainly played into a specific kind of fantasy we’re seeing play out on other corners of TV. Fox‘s Farmer Wants a Wife, for example, is also selling a story about career-oriented women who venture out to a small town and find love with cowboys.

Two stories from the entertainment industry made it onto Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update” with Colin Jost and Michael Che taking on the Frozen sequels and the Lifetime movie sex scene.

Disney’s Jennifer Lee recently teased that while working on the third installment of the Frozen saga, the story was “so epic” they would need a fourth film, something CEO Bob Iger had confirmed before.

Jost made a joke stemming from the news adding, “By the time they come out they only thing frozen would be Elsa’s eggs.”

After the reaction from the live audience, Jost added, “She wants a career.”

Later on in the segment, Che brought up that Lifetime would be airing its first Christmas movie sex scene to which he quipped, “The sex scene will finally explain why Santa named that one reindeer Vixen. It’s a weird name for a reindeer.”

The movie, starring Jana Kramer and Adam Senn and debuting on Dec. 9, follows a real estate agent who returns home to Arizona to reclaim land belonging to a rancher. Not only do sparks fly, but she also gets a chance to reconnect with her family — all the fixings for the perfect Christmas movie.

Exclusive: Vertical Entertainment has acquired North American rights to Chris Naoki Lee’s feature directorial debut, Dinner Party, in which he stars alongside Kara Wang (Top Gun: Maverick), Imani Hakim (Mythic Quest) and Kausar Mohammed (The Flash). The global indie distributor has slated the pic for a day-and-date release on August 19.

Inspired by Lee’s own experiences growing up in a diverse community outside of Los Angeles, the indie ensemble drama follows Izzy (Hakim) and boyfriend Cal (Lee) as they go to a casual reunion dinner party amongst Cal’s childhood friends 10 years after high school. The friends navigate socially sensitive topics, though some fall on deaf ears when it comes to the hyper-masculine Miles (Charles Hittinger). It doesn’t take long for Izzy to notice that Shannon (Wang), co-host and childhood friend to the boys, seems uncomfortable around Miles, as the film simmers into a slow burn that erupts in the final act.

Actor Christopher Naoki Lee, whose credits include AMC’s The Terror and Fox’s Deputy, is set to make his feature directorial debut with the socially-minded pic Dinner Party which he co-wrote with Greek alum Daniel Weaver.

Lee also stars in the film which, as the title suggests, centers on a dinner party with a group of diverse Millennials. As they dine and converse, a verdict arrives for a controversial trial regarding sexual misconduct that has captivated the nation — a very timely topic considering the recent Weinstein verdict. As a result the dinner party turns into a moment for all the attendees to look at their own histories and determine whether the friendship that binds them can withstand their differences, especially when they realize one of their own is guilty of a past transgression.

New York, March 8 – Madonna reportedly took the arm of handsome “The City” star Adam Senn while attending the Oscar-party rounds in La.

The Queen of Pop arrived with her fellow Dolce and Gabanna model at Soho House after recent reports claimed an argument between her and her toyboy lover Jesus Luz.

“Madonna brought Jesus to the Oscar parties last year, but she wants to do it her way this year,” the New York Post quoted a source as saying.
