A day after four John Does and two Jane Does filed the latest assault lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs, the ‘Bad Boy For Life’ performer now says “the government should be required to identify its alleged victims” in his sex trafficking case.
“This case is unique, in part because of the number of individuals levying allegations against Mr. Combs due to his celebrity status, wealth, and the publicity of his previously settled lawsuit and the grand jury leaks and false inflammatory statements by the Dhs agents, as outlined in our previous motion,” wrote Combs’ Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos-led defense lawyers Tuesday to US District Judge Arun Subramanian “This has had a pervasive ripple effect, resulting in a torrent of allegations by unidentified complainants, spanning from the false to outright absurd.”

While Sean “Diddy” Combs became a definitive figure in hip hop — as his career spread from music to fashion, spirits and more, climbing to the top echelons of these industries — reports over the past year have made clear that rumors of his conduct behind closed doors persisted for years. The first crack in the dam came in November, when accusations in a legal complaint from his ex-girlfriend, “Me & U” singer Cassie, opened the door to what’s now mounted to 10 legal complaints against the mogul. On Sept. 17, he was arrested in Manhattan on charges that included sex trafficking, forced labor, coercion to engage in prostitution and narcotics distribution.
Combs entered a not guilty plea on these charges and, in a statement after his arrest, his attorney Marc Agnifilo said the U.S. Attorney’s Office is pursuing an “unjust prosecution,” adding that Combs has cooperated in the investigation.

Star Trek fans are reading for potential the last major news date of the year; the New York Comic Con. Usually a quiet affair, the event is usually Star Trek's last stop on the road to the end of the year. The franchisee usually gets most of its news out at the San Diego Comic-Con or one of the more major Star Trek-focused conventions, but in recent years the Nycc has started to develop a reputation as a news-heavy affair.
Last year, of course, was the Kid Cudi X Star Trek crossover. While that may not be a huge hit among fans, it was a seriously significant event, This year may not be very different in that regard. There could be some major pieces of news to come out of the event, especially with the Lower Decks finale coming days later.
So here are five things we hope to see at the event.

Sean “Diddy” Combs was ordered to be detained pending trial Tuesday after he pleaded not guilty to charges including sex trafficking and racketeering.
On Tuesday morning, the government unsealed a three-county indictment accusing Combs of various crimes related to an alleged decades-long pattern of physical and sexual violence against women in his orbit. Federal prosecutors charged him with sex trafficking and racketeering for directing a vast criminal enterprise through which he assaulted and trafficked women with the help of his various businesses from at least 2008.

After doing battle with Michael Myers, alien Jon Stewart and the concept of not having sex for just over a month, Josh Hartnett’s latest role finds him struggling against the confines of a pop-music concert. In M. Josh Hartnett has always wanted to do what was least expected of him. What might be expected of a broad-chested, six-foot-three-inch football player turned actor with a strong jaw and deep-set brown eyes? Roles like himbo prom king. Daring pilot. Brave soldier. Which, sure, he has played. (See: The Virgin Suicides. Pearl Harbor. Black Hawk Down.) But especially since breaking out in a few of those roles at the turn of the millennium, he’s done everything he can to subvert the teen-idol persona, pursuing slightly offbeat characters who exist,...

Take your seats; the show is about to begin. M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap is now out in theaters, and so, too, is the soundtrack from musical artist Saleka Shyamalan, who plays pop star Lady Raven in the film.
Saleka’s Lady Raven (Original Music From The Motion Picture Trap) is out everywhere, giving fans multiple ways to experience Trap. Listen now.
In the thriller starring Josh Hartnett, “A father and teen daughter attend a pop concert, where they realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event.”
As the official trailer for Trap reveals, the pop concert is actually an elaborate trap designed to catch The Butcher, a sadistic serial killer who has been evading authorities.
Per the press release, “Saleka and her dad, filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan, had always shared an appreciation for music-driven films and long dreamed of a collaboration. They essentially built Trap from kitchen table conversations.

Night Shyamalan's Trap drops the hardest early 2000s-ass theatrical vibes I've seen in a hot minute. It's a Hitchcock x CW lockbox collaboration, except the box is the size of a Philadelphia arena. There's room for Shyamalan's shiftiness to breathe, misdirect, and overindulge — which isn't always a blessing. Trap is a tale of two halves; one the "killer in a stadium" mouse hunt, the other an "outside" procedural as the pursuit intensifies. The problem is, those halves don't play nice. Conceptual ambition transforms into contrived criminal escape antics, turning giddy chuckles into eye-roll sighs — but its divisiveness will be salvation for some.

Cooper — the perfect father when not dismembering victims — treats his darling daughter Riley (Ariel Donoghue) to see her favorite musician: Lady Raven (Saleka Shyamalan). Director M. Night Shyamalan is springing his latest “Trap.”
Shyamalan’s new movie, which stars Josh Hartnett as a serial killer lured into a police sting operation while at a pop concert with his daughter, has made $2.2 million in previews at the box office.
The thriller is expected to open between $15 million and $20 million this weekend, but it will be no match for last week’s box office behemoth, Disney’s “Deadpool & Wolverine.” The Marvel blockbuster is on track to add between $75 million and $95 million in its second weekend, a drop of approximately 55% to 65% after its record-breaking $211 million.
It had the year’s biggest weekend at the box office, broke the record for an R-rated opening and will dominate once again this week.

Plot: A father and his teen daughter attend a pop concert only to realize they’ve entered the center of a dark and sinister event.
Review: Is there a filmmaker more polarizing than M. Night Shyamalan? It seems as though everyone has an opinion, even if they haven’t seen the film in question. And if there’s one thing Shyamalan is good at: it’s coming up with a good hook. A child that sees dead people, a secret superhero, or a beach that rapidly ages you are just a few of many of his interesting concepts. Yet in recent years, the execution has left a lot to be desired. So stepping firmly into the horror genre, does Trap manage to stick the landing? Well…

John Woo is reimagining his 1989 Hong Kong classic The Killer for a new English-language remake, and he’s swapping the gender of the titular assassin.
Now, British actress Nathalie Emmanuel will take the lead as Woo’s multi-faceted action star, now named Zee instead of the original’s Ah Jong. The remake will also feature Sam Worthington, Diana Silvers, French actors Omar Sy, Grégory Montel, and Saïd Taghmaoui, and ’90s soccer icon-turned-actor Eric Cantona.
The trailer shows Zee at the height of her powers as an adept assassin in the Parisian underground, kicking ass and taking names — when she refuses to kill a young woman, however, she faces threats from both the Parisian police and local criminal organizations. “Never send boys to do a woman’s job,” Zee says amidst high-flying action and tension-ridden sequences.

H.wood Group is making its next move in the film and TV space — and has enlisted Post Malone to direct it.
The company headed by John Terzian and Brian Toll — the go-to-guys for Los Angeles’ coveted tables at hot spots like Delilah, Bootsy Bellows and Bird Street Club — recently added a multimedia production arm to their hospitality company, touting a film and TV slate featuring projects with Kid Cudi and Machine Gun Kelly, among others.
First on the roster: a documentary about Skepta, the British grime rapper behind tracks like “Greaze Mode” and “Gas Me Up (Diligent)” from his upcoming LP, Knife and Fork. The project is described as “a stirring documentary about the artist focusing on themes of cultural identity and artistry.”
It’s set to be co-directed by Malone and BAFTA nominee Hector Dockrill and produced by Terzian and Toll along with Dwight Okechukwu of 1PLUS1 Production.

In addition to starring in Ti West’s 1970s-set slasher X, Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi) was also an executive producer on the subsequent prequel Pearl and this year’s sequel MaXXXine, and the singer/actor has taken to Twitter this week to tease another collaboration with West.
Mescudi tweets, “Wait til u see what me and Ti West do next.”
We have no idea what Mescudi is referring to at this time, so it’s important to note here that it’s not necessarily even a horror project at all. While Ti West is primarily known as a horror filmmaker, making a name for himself with films including The House of the Devil, The Innkeepers, and The Sacrament, he’s also strayed from the genre. Of particular note, West directed the Western In a Valley of Violence back in 2016. Point being, it’s not a guarantee that West and...

With the release of Ti West’s Maxxxine just around the corner, it felt high time that we covered the preceeding two films before giving our verdict on the third. So let’s start at the beginning (release dates-wise) with X.
Set in 1979, X follows a group of aspiring pornographers who venture to a secluded Texas farmhouse to shoot an adult film, only to find themselves embroiled in a nightmarish ordeal.
From the outset, West’s direction shines, capturing the essence of the era with meticulous detail. And this has been a strength of his since the opening sequence of House of the Devil (2009), which was saturated in 80’s nostalgia. With X, the cinematography mirrors the aesthetic of 1970s horror films, characterised by a grainy texture and muted color palette that evoke a sense of decay and desolation. This visual style, combined with the isolated rural setting, immediately draws intentional...

Ti West and A24 pulled off a killer surprise Thursday night, unveiling an early screening of their upcoming slasher movie Maxxxine to a group of unsuspecting horror fans.
The evening was billed as a double feature of West’s X horror series, which includes X and Pearl, the movies that thrust Mia Goth into the role Hollywood’s nouveau killer queen. The sold-out evening brought out film nerds and horror geeks of all shapes and hairstyles — some dressed up as Pearl, some wearing Pearl T-shirts, while others sported T-shirts with logos and characters ranging from X-Men to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood‘s Rick Dalton.
During a Q&a in between the two screenings, moderator and Maxxxine actress Lily Collins and West suddenly switched gears. Collins asked how many in the audience had seen Pearl — and almost all raised their hands. She then posited the question: if everyone had seen that movie,...

“Knuckles,” the live-action/animated spinoff series currently streaming on Paramount+ and featuring the titular red Echidna warrior (voiced by Idris Elba), kicks things off with an amusing ’90s throwback opening title sequence. Kid Cudi has canceled his tour after he broke his foot when he jumped off the Coachella stage.
The rapper took to Instagram to share the news two days after he told his fans he had broken his foot at the musical festival. He explained that the injury was worse than he originally thought and had to undergo surgery for it.
“There’s gonna be a long recovery time,” he wrote. “We have to cancel the tour so I can focus on getting better to be out there in top shape to rage with you all. There’s just no way I can bounce back in time to give 100%. The injury is much more serious than I thought.”
He noted that anyone who bought tickets for the tour will be fully refunded and he’ll be back with new tour dates as soon as possible.
