Travis Myles was born in Louisville, Kentucky, and raised between Louisville and Tampa, Florida. He currently lives in Louisville with his husband and four dogs. Travis has a passion for telling stories, especially those that highlight and celebrate the LGBTQ community, and all of its diversity, strength, and resilience. Travis' first professional endeavors were with Brand New Gay Productions, writing, directing, and co-producing their first short film "The Gift" in 2012, followed by co-producing their second short film "Brett & Kyle" in 2013. Also in 2013, he wrote for the web series Coffee Talk, the second episode "My Dad is Gay", which was an official selection at Pride Films and Plays Gay Film Weekend.
Travis completed his first feature script in 2021, a romantic comedy wrapped in comedy called "Our Four Fathers". He was commissioned in 2022 to write the feature thriller "Chase". His next completed feature script is a queer biopic, "Sweet Evening Breeze", finished in 2023. In 2023, he also completed a politico-religious thriller pilot, "Downfall". He is also working with a small group of local writers, who have developed a comedy television pilot, "The House on Lavender Lane" (2022) and a comedy feature script "Off Key" (2023).
Travis is also a songwriter, focusing mainly on country/pop and pop, but also delving into blues, new wave, and contemporary Christian music.
