A film we first heard about toward the end of last year, Gary Meyer's The Winedancers, is now edited and ready for its finishing touches so the production team has unveiled the first official trailer. Check it out, and look for more soon.

The international cast includes Lucinda Rhodes, Kim Sønderholm, Kasia Koleczek, Miglen Mirtchev, Edmund Digby-Jones, Kyle Calderwood, Mariana Peñalva, J.C. Montes-Roldan, Antoine Martin, Andrea Catozzi, Jonathan Christopher Duncan, Marina De Salis, and Callie Roberts.

Writer/director/producer Meyer describes the film as "a mixture of horror comedy and theatre, a roller coaster of emotions. For some reason I came up with a transvestite cowboy line dancer as the main character wearing stiletto heals and tapping to the beat of 'Cotton-Eye Joe'... The inspiration: Robin Hardy's The Wicker Man, Tony Scott's The Hunger, and life here in Provence with its deep-rooted French way of life resisting...

For the past five weeks the South of France has been hosting the cast and crew of the new horror film The Winedancers, and we have the early details along with a few behind-the-scenes stills. It's written and directed by Gary Meyer and produced under the helm of Godam Film.

The Winedancers is currently being edited with a release expected in 2014.

The international cast includes UK actors Lucinda Rhodes, Edmund Digby-Jones, Kyle Calderwood, and Marina De Salis; Scandinavian actor Kim Sønderholm; Mexican actors Mariana Peñalva and J.C. Montes-Roldan; Polish actress Kasia Koleczek; French actors Miglen Mirtchev, Antoine Martin, and Andrea Catozzi (an acrobat able to do the craziest things!); and the towering Jonathan Christopher Duncan playing “Gimp.” Finally, there is “Fashion One Correspondents” model Callie Roberts.

Depositarios from director Rodrigo Ordonez will be appearing at Sci-Fi London this year. The festival begins April 28th with several pictures showing. In Depositarios human emotions like pain are transfered to other gatekeepers (Quiet). The film then follows two researchers who follow criminals associated with technological oriented crimes. "In the near future, medicine, computing and genetics have made it possible to end the human physical and psychological pain, filtering it through other human beings created expressly for this task, known as "gatekeepers". The plot follows the story of two researchers who belong to the Police Special Branch dedicated to pursue the emerging crimes related to the implementation of this new technology" (Quiet).
