Colin J. Pearce has worked on the features Performance Anxiety (2008), Stanley's Mouth (2015), Hand Grenade (2017), 97 Tutu (2018), T Blockers (2023), Spithood (2024) and Caliburn (2025).
Colin is a highly sought-after Sound Recordist and has won the hearts of many actors and crew in the Australian industry. On a shoot he is a team player and has a friendly disposition. In particular, being a former DOP, Colin has a thorough understanding of the camera department's needs, so he can expertly coordinate with them.
He studied filmmaking while living in Brisbane, where he completed the Producer's Cluster of Advanced Diploma of Screen at QPIX, and a course in film sound recording and design.
For several years Colin worked in the sound recording and filmmaking studios at Dale Street Studios. Since then, he has focused his filmmaking pursuits on the Production Sound Department, particularly performing roles as Head of Department, Sound Recordist, Boom Operator and ADR Recordist.
He is an Admin of the major "Adelaide Filmmakers" group on Facebook with 4,000+ members.
