Uh-oh, the dinner that Tommy (Gina Torres) really needed to go well isn’t on 9-1-1: Lone Star. Following her proposal, Trevor (D.B. Woodside) revealed that she needs to meet his ex-wife, and Cassandra (Diandra Lyle) arrives in the October 14 episode. But as you can see in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek, things take a turn. First, Cassandra’s not happy to hear her daughter Melody (Bella Blanding) has been somewhere she took her before, with Tommy and her girls. “We had only gone that one time, when the girls were off from school,” Tommy says, trying to smooth things over. “So was that before or after you tried to poison my daughter?” Cassandra asks. (Ouch!) Trevor thinks “poisoning is a little dramatic” since “technically, all the ingredients were edible,” and Melody defends Tommy, arguing she basically deserved it. “You know how I get sometimes,” she says.

“Bel-Air” star Adrian Holmes teased some of what fans can expect from his character Phillip “Uncle Phil” Banks in Season 2, saying that between dodging Erica’s advances and taking a chance on a risky new client, Uncle Phil’s moral compass is put to the test.
“He has a very important moral decision to make. There’s a lot of arcs and sparks this season. It’s fizzling in a beautiful way. I love it,” Holmes told TheWrap.
Holmes is right, Uncle Phil has got his work cut for him, especially after that spicy last season cliffhanger where Erica (Diandra Lyle), Uncle Phil’s future business partner, gave him a smooch. Viewers eventually learned that the two have history, which Vivian “Aunt Viv” Banks (Cassandra Freeman) is aware of. But as far as that lock of the lips, Uncle Phil keeps that detail to himself. Note: The following includes spoilers from the “Bel-Air” Season 2 finale.
“I’m a drug addict. A really f—g good one, too. I’m high on coke most days. In fact, I’m high right now.”
The words echoed loudly as Carlton (Olly Sholotan) spoke them while accepting the Founders Award during the Season 2 finale of “Bel-Air,” as the other members of the Banks family watched in disbelief.
It’s a demon Carlton has been dealing with since Season 1, as he battles with his anxiety. No one knew about his drug problem but Will who vowed to stay quiet and in return asked his cousin to stop and lean on him instead. Aunt Viv (Cassandra Freeman) and Uncle Phil (Adrian Holmes) were none the wiser but knew something was bothering their son.

TV One original movie, "The Summoning," premieres tomorrow Saturday, June 6 at 8 p.m. Et on TV One, directed by Charles Murray, and starring Paula Jai Parker, Terrell Tilford, Dorian Missick, Darius McCrary, Storm Reid, and Diandra Lyle. In the past, TV One has not been good at executing genre work. "Fright Night" and "Fear Files" have bordered on being unwatchable, and, in a word, lazy. So much so that I feared deeply for the viewers who are largely African American adults, assuming that more than a few would imagine the horror/thriller genre as nothing but cheap, gimmicky, ridiculous fare.
