Among pioneers in the integration of digital technologies in
audiovisual production in Puglia, Edoardo Nicoletti started operating
since 1983, first as video editor in television and subsequently in
digital video production, multimedia and web. The deep knowledge of
communication technologies and interaction between media and content
are the basis of his activities as a film editor, director, consultant,
author and lecturer.
He formed his style in the late '70s and the beginning of the next decade working in local radio and TV stations, the press office of the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, and AGIS Center for Culture Film of Puglia and Basilicata.
He approaches in the early '80s to computer graphics. In 1983 he was vice president at video production cooperative VideoClub/TransTV.
In 1987 he was called to start the video-graphic sector at Telenorba, where leading-edge experience in the field of virtual sets and integration of computer animation and television images.
In 1989, coordinates the editing and post-production department at Primavideo, the first independent television facility in southern Italy, acting on behalf of RAI, Telemontecarlo and many international broadcasters.
In 1991 he founded Eido Lab, the first multimedia production company operating in Puglia.
Since then he has experimented and pioneered new technologies brought to market soon developed as the digital photography and digital image processing in '91, '93 in the digital video editing, multimedia authoring again in '93, the creation of DVD-Video in '95, the development of websites since 1996.
In recent years he has managed complex multimedia and audiovisual productions, documentaries made in Italy and abroad, and edited short films, independent movies and documentaries.
He always combined the experimentation and cultural development in his activities as a film editor and audiovisual entrepreneur.
Edoardo Nicoletti gave significant contribution to market growth and the growth of new media Apulian structures and a generation of young film editors and technicians, he has been leading the technological revolution in Apulia from analog video to digital.
