Dan Eady is a multi-talented actor and filmmaker, known for his appearances on popular Australian TV series like 'Doctor, Doctor' and 'The God's of Wheat Street'. He toured extensively for the Queensland Arts Council. Since 2006 he has been represented by BMEG as a professional actor and acting coach. In New Zealand he has worked in various production roles including casting. Dan has been an initiator and facilitator focused on developing professional screen acting skills in Brisbane, Sydney and Aotearoa.
As a writer, Dan's first play, 'The Boy and the Goat', was nominated for a Matilda Award in 2005. He has worked as an arts critic for The Courier Mail, Queensland's largest newspaper. He has contributed to various publications in Australia, Hong Kong and New Zealand with video and print.
Eady appeared in the World Premiere stage adaptation of Andrew McGahan's Miles Franklin Award-winning novel, 'The White Earth' as Dudley.
Raised on a small farm in rural New South Wales, Dan attended primary school in Tenterfield and secondary school in Toowoomba. After serving in the military, Dan pursued a range of studies, including rural science, journalism, and acting. He also holds a trade qualification as a mechanic.
